My Expert Midwife knows exactly what new mums need, and this Fantastic Skin Elastic looks and smells amazing. With an easy-to-use pump bottle and a non-sticky texture, this will leave skin feeling nourished and hydrated.

What they say:

"Fantastic Skin Elastic provides instant hydration to soothe and moisturise irritated, tight skin as well as promote bowel movement and helps to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Enriched with vitamin E to encourage skin elasticity, sweet almond oil to prevent dryness, grapefruit oil to reduce constipation and argan oil to restore and protect, it’s a new mum and mum to be skincare essential. Fantastic Skin Elastic is perfect for soothing pregnant tums as the skin stretches but it’s also ideal for all over body use."

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this product to expectant mums – it is a luxurious skincare product and you can feel that when using it. It feels like a massage oil and I found it helped me sleep as the aroma was extremely calming. The product goes on really easily and feels like it absorbs deeply into your skin, making it feel smoother yet firmer immediately.

How did this product make your life easier?

The packaging was very practical. One pump distributes a decent amount, allowing you not to over use the product. The pump bottle with lid also prevents any leakages from happening when transporting. I felt a lot calmer and relaxed immediately after using this product and the scent it gave off was extremely therapeutic.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would say it is a more luxurious product and therefore not a necessity, but I did like that the packaging had no fancy pictures and purely states the facts and tells you the story behind the product. It does was it says plus more. I would continue buying this product and use it once in the evening rather than the directed twice a day. This would be to make it last longer as it was a great product but on the pricey side, so I probably wouldn’t choose it to win.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would change the price because, if used as stated on the packaging, I would get through one bottle a week and I do not think the majority of women can afford that. This would be my only fault in the product.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

It’s a great design with easy pump action and no mess! This product leaves you with a 'just pampered' feeling and is smooth to apply. The nicely designed bottle is small enough to pop in my handbag and I love the unique fragrance, as it doesn't smell like most of the products on the market for similar use.

How did this product make your life easier?

I enjoyed using this product as it gave me a 'pampered feeling' particularly due to the fragrance. I found that the pump action was a great feature although if you did a couple of pumps in quick succession then the second amount dispersed was far less than the first decent dollop! The product itself was slightly greasier than I expected, but it didn't leave a grease mark on my clothing.

Would you choose this product to win?

I love this product for the handy bottle but most of all the easy application and fresh scent that it gives. My skin feels nourished and hydrated since using this product. Every mum needs to have that pampered feeling during their pregnancy and this product does just that!  I would definitely recommend.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I were to change one thing about his product then it would probably be the pump action, ensuring that it is a little more consistent with the amount dispensed.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend other mums-to-be to try this product if they like body oils. It didn’t suit my skin, but these sort of products are so subjective that I would still recommend a friend try it to see. It sounded really promising and smelled lovely, but it just didn’t suit me. It felt clammy on my skin and didn’t soak in for ages, and my skin didn’t feel any softer after use. A real shame but again I think these lotions and potions work for some people and not for others – skin is especially sensitive during pregnancy so you have to just keep trying until you find one that suits you!

How did this product make your life easier?

I wouldn’t say any stretch mark cream or oil product would make my life easier, it might make it better by helping the appearance of stretch marks. For me this product didn’t help at all as it didn’t suit my skin, but for women whose skin suits this sort of oil, it would hopefully ease their stretch marks.

Would you choose this product to win?

I wouldn’t choose this product over others on the market, as it simply didn’t suit my skin. It felt clammy on my skin and didn’t soak in for ages, and my skin didn’t feel any softer after use. I prefer using a thick cream or a plain oil product. I can’t recommend it to win as it didn’t suit me, but other women might find it amazing. I did like the smell – it was fresh and flowery without being too strong or overpowering. The packaging was nice too – it looked sophisticated and scientific without being scary.

What changes would you make to this product?

It’s a shame that this didn’t suit my skin but it’s a personal issue rather than something being wrong with the product itself. I wouldn’t change the smell – that was lovely – and I wouldn’t change the packaging, it just wasn’t for me!
