Find out what our mum testers thought of the Summer Infant Baby Touch Edge Baby Monitor.

Tested by mum Enrica kennedy for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend the Summer Infant Baby Touch Edge Baby Monitor to a friend/fellow mum?

The design and ease of use for this product is very pleasing. I enjoyed the monitor and the range distance it was able to reach. The leads were long so if you didn't want to attach the camera it could easily sit on a table, for example.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

I feel that the good quality of product sound and range provided reassurance.  I have twins and this was excellent that from being in a different area of the house I was able to move the monitor to look at both babies through the evening.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Picture quality could be improved!

Why would you recommend the Summer Infant Baby Touch Edge Baby Monitor to a friend/fellow mum?

Lovely display monitor in bright colours allows you to see what baby is up to. Monitor has a stand so you can prop it up on the surface. Can zoom in and get a closer look and the sound is crisp and clear as is the picture.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

I like to see what baby is up to, and it is easy to control. I tend to sleep better as when I wake I can just flip on the monitor check baby and go back to sleep. Any noise or movement is easily picked up so I really trust the monitor.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Better battery life is a must as I found it was flat very quickly.

Tested by mum Paula Murray for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend the Summer Infant Baby Touch Edge Baby Monitor to a friend/fellow mum?

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box as packaging could be improved so I was apprehensive. This monitor was compact, lightweight and felt good to the touch.  I plugged it in and it was so easy to use - I felt it was great.  I loved the functions on it which allowed me to move around to see around the room and obviously the baby.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

This product completely reassures me.  I know that it makes sense, I know that if my baby is crying it will identify this.  The quality of the picture could be improved however, but the sound and the ability to pick up the sounds was amazing.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Look at the quality of picture to see if this can be improved upon. The camera is a little lightweight and maybe needs grips on the bottom.

Tested by mum Samantha Smyth for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This product was so simple to set up and use. It is easily transported and because you don't need to link it up to any Internet like some of the new technology makes this more easily transportable.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

I loved how the camera was able to move pretty much to where I needed to see in the room. The picture quality could be improved on, however the ability see the light changing per noise was very impressive. It's therefore offered me that reassurance that baby was ok. The ability to set reminder times for the future was a great function.

If you could change one thing about the Summer Infant Baby Touch Edge Baby Monitor what would it be?

I would maybe change the camera to become heavier as it is a little light weight… Other than that it's very good for the money with a whole load of peeks.
