At a glance:

The Sleepyhead Deluxe+ pod offers a safe and comfortable spot that lets your baby sleep in a supervised environment. It can be used as a place to rest, lounge, play, cuddle, do tummy time or get their nappy changed. It is suitable for 0-8 months old and is lightweight and portable, making it easy to move from room to room or to take on holiday. All the materials used are breathable, washable and hypoallergenic.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Michelle: I would certainly recommend this product to a friend as ultimately it means you get more sleep! It is very easy to transport and the plastic case it comes in is useful for storage. It is light and easy to put together. The activity bar is easy to attach and to take off. The design is simple but looks good. I believe there is a range of designs if you wanted something different to the classic white.

Bethan: It’s a very pretty design. It is classy compared to most baby toys and aids out there. It feels very well designed and built so I can understand the price tag.

Tanya: I would recommend this product to any parent. Since having this my son goes straight to sleep. It is easy to take around the house with you and even if you're popping out to somebody's house. I think my son likes this as it is safe and secure and he likes to cuddles into the foam. I just wish they did an adult version!

How did this product make your life easier?

Salman: As a dad I found this product to be excellent if used in the correct environment. Our baby did very well in this product from birth. It is a product which can be used when having one-to-one time with your baby whether you are laying with them on your bed or when placed on a flat surface. My baby loved the toy arch in the black and white colour scheme which really stimulated our baby's senses at such a young stage.

Nassim: The pod can be used both as a mattress/sleeper and an area to lie baby on flat for tummy time. I use it downstairs during the day when my baby wants to nap. The raised sides reassure me that my baby will not roll off it easily. The toy arch is easily removed to allow minimal distraction. You can hang different toys to interest your baby so it is useful as a play gym too.

Charlotte: I have loved the sleepyhead. It has certainly made a more comfortable place for my baby to sleep. It is portable allowing us to take it on holiday and away at weekends. It has meant we don’t have to take a travel crib with us. It also makes me feel happier about co-sleeping safely when needed. It also fits well in the Snuzpod which we have.

Would you choose this product to win?

Sophie: I have always heard and seen good reviews of the sleepyhead. I would choose this over all other branded pillows out there. It should win hands down. I cannot fault it and my baby girl loves it.

Maria: I like the sleepyhead for daytime naps and play time. However, I'm unsure if I like the idea of placing my baby in the sleepyhead for overnight sleeping. I would worry that my baby would end up with her face up against the soft cushiony sides and have difficulty breathing. It is therefore quite expensive simply daytime time naps.

Taransay: I would choose this item to win. The Sleepyhead is the only product that manages to keep my baby sleeping soundly through their lighter sleep-cycles. I think a combination of the slight tilt and cosy sides help to make this a lovely sleeping environment for babies.

What changes would you make to this product?

Michelle: One thing that could be improved is that the sheet cover. It is quite thick and therefore takes quite a while to dry. I have to wash it frequently and unless it is a hot sunny day sometimes it doesn’t dry before that night. However, I do like the smart look and quality of the fabric. Perhaps it could have an additional lighter cover.

Bethan: If I could make one change it would be to the arch. It would be good if you could alter the position so it was down by your babies feet so they could kick at it. Mine have been trying to do this but it’s obviously too far forward for them to manage. The toys could also hang a little lower so they could reach them more easily.

Tanya: I would lower the price of this product as not all people can afford this. It is expensive considering it can only be used until they are eight-months-old. Another thing that might attract more people is a wider range of different colours.
