What we say:
This robust chair glides smoothly and has a luxurious feel with plush upholstery. It comes with a matching footstool and there are seven recline positions, plus pockets for storing M&B to read during feeds! It’s more compact than most of the chairs tested, so it’s ideal if you’re short on space in the nursery.

This one ticks all my boxes – it’s stylish, comfortable and excellent value for money. It’s much more compact than some of the other chairs tested, so it’s a brilliant option for smaller nurseries. The covers are really easy to clean, which is a must with a newborn. I would definitely recommend this chair.

This feels sturdy and has a smooth gliding motion, but the stool has to be assembled, which is very fiddly. It doesn’t get my vote because the high armrests make it difficult to feed in – I wasn’t able to use them to support my arm and Ollie had to lie at an awkward angle to avoid his feet banging the sides. It might be a good option for other mums, but it isn’t for me.

By far the best looking chair – it’s great-quality wood with thick cushioning and soft fabric, and the storage pockets are so handy. It reclines well, feels sturdy and isn’t noisy when rocking or reclining. It’s narrower than some of the other chairs, but the plush cushioning means me and the boys actually fit this better. It’s definitely my favourite.
