At a glance:

Babymoov's Doomoo Cocoon is the perfect way to help transition your baby from the womb to the cot. On top of being sensitive on your little one's delicate skin, it is also eco-friendly, it can be extendable as your baby grows, and incredibly portable so you can take it anywhere with you.

How did this product make your life easier?

Pamela: I love this product. This has completely provided me with a beautiful safe place for my daughter when at home and also when travelling. It’s perfect for placing her in when I am preparing her milk and food and just a comfortable pod for her to rest and relax. It makes life easier for me as my daughter is just so comfortable.

Kristy: I think it’s a great product to use in the baby’s cot to aid a more restful sleep which is what I predominantly used it for. However, it’s a really good product to use out and about... as I have a fixed car seat I struggle when I go to family and friend's houses where I can place my baby. This product is fantastic to take with you giving a safe and secure place to lay baby for rest or play.

Alice: This product is brilliant. It is so portable and makes naptime so easy. No need to carry baby upstairs or faff around with a Moses basket as this completely portable and can take anywhere. In fact, just took this to France and found baby could nap in it everywhere. The fabric is soft and cosy and the baby loves to sleep in it.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Natalie: I would recommend to other mums as it provides a safe and comfortable sleeping environment. It allows the baby to feel safe and protected which allows them to sleep soundly. It comes in two super cute designs to suit your tastes and is easily washable to keep is a clean bed for your baby to sleep in. It's great that you can carry around making travelling with your baby a doddle too.

Stephanie: If a friend wanted a cocoon yes, I would recommend this product as it is high quality but personally I did not find it very useful. It is easy to expand as the baby grows by opening the velcro at the bottom. It is unlikely that a baby will stay in it past 4-months-old however as advertised on the product.

Kristy: Yes I would recommend this product either to use in the cot to aid more restful sleep but I think I would recommend it more for using to lay baby flat for rest or play when you are travelling to visit friends and family. It comes with a thick plastic carry bag. It’s also very easy to remove covers to wash.

Would you choose this product to win?

Pamela: Absolutely I would choose this above all other products. The breathability of the product is a big selling point for me as I know that my baby is safe when using it. Everything has been so well thought through and designed, I have so much trust in the product and the company due to the extremely high quality of everything.

Alice: The product is excellent quality. Such soft cotton which feels luxurious and babies find very comfortable to sleep in. The fact that it has a removable cover is great and easily washable and I love the fact that it comes in different designs. The breathable aspect for the head end is also a selling point for me and gives me reassurance that it’s safe for baby.

Stephanie: The cocoon is quite large and sturdy making it difficult to clean by just popping into the washing machine. In addition, it is really quite expensive for an item I don’t feel is a necessity for baby sleeping. I would say this product should win unfortunately as its more of a luxury rather than being truly useful.

What changes would you make to this product?

Alice: It’s difficult to think of anything to improve the product. It does exactly what it's designed to do and should do. Maybe a possibility to have a vibrate function within it as my little girl loves to be gently rocked in this and it sends her to sleep, however, this is only me trying to think of something to improve. I think the product is pretty perfect, I just wish I’d had this sooner as I would have definitely brought a second one, as I have twins.

Natalie: One thing I would change is that I would do a bigger variety of designs to choose from. Not everyone likes pink or grey, so it would be great to see some colourful designs in the range too to make them truly stand out compared to others already on the market. Not necessarily patterns but colours would be a great addition.

Pamela: If a version could be produced for an adult, that would be absolutely fantastic as I just think it is so comfortable! The only thing that might be a sticky point for some is the price - but for the price, you are getting a very high-quality product so you do get what you pay for. I absolutely love the product and just wish I had it for when my baby was born.
