Tommee Tippee Rechargeable Light & Sound Sleep Aids at a glance:

This cute and cuddly night-time companion will help you and your baby get a good night’s sleep. With a soft heart shaped light, soothing sounds and gentle lullabies your little one will be reassured as they go to sleep. During the night, the intelligent crysensor listens out for any crying noises and plays your chosen sound or lullaby to help them drift back to sleep. Plus there’s no need for batteries to keep your bedtime pal listening out through the night as this light and sound sleep aid is rechargeable using a USB cable. Available in 3 cuddly designs.

How did this product make your life easier?

Katy: Brilliant as a sleep aid. It helps him go to sleep and the light gives a benefit for mum too. Would definitely recommend and will be using for second baby. Only concern for me is that because he can crawl he tends to turn over and interact with it so not too much of a sleep aid for him and more a toy now.

Chloe: This product makes my life easier as a mum as the light is really useful when my baby boy wakes up in the middle of the night and I need the light to see, but don't want to switch the main light on. It's just the right brightness to be able to see the baby and what I'm doing when feeding or changing him, without it being too bright and waking him up fully.

Jennifer: I think this is such a great product. We had a Ewan the dream sheep with my older daughter, which she loved but it got lost! This is a great upgrade because you don’t have to replace the batteries, you just have to make sure it’s charged up (which it doesn’t appear to need very often even though we have it on the sensor mode throughout the day / night).

Would you recommend this product to other parents?

Abbie: The wings are feet are very responsive, so you can press them in the dark of the night without fumbling around for the button. The light is a soothing glow and so it can be used as a night light without waking the baby. The white noise does a fantastic job of keeping my son asleep and soothed between sleep cycles and blocks out the noise of my husband and I coming to bed.

Lindsay: I will be telling everyone about this sweet little bear, I love how it has a cry sensor I have never seen a similar product that has a sensor on it and it’s something I’ve often said they need as with others (Ewan the sheep) which is what I was using does soothe my little one but I have to turn it on each time.

Hannah: It makes such a difference when playing white noise to help a baby sleep and this product has some lovely noises to experiment with. My daughter liked the heartbeat best. It’s also useful to have different volume settings depending on where we put it in the room. Although for us it was simple to just attach to the cot using the velcro strap behind its head. If any mums are struggling to get their babies to settle then I would 100% recommend trying this as it’s helped us no end. As baby gets older it’s also so simple to use that they should be able to switch it on and off themselves to help themselves go back to sleep.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Taiba: I would choose this product above others As it has so many features and acts as a toy, a light or a musical toy all at once but also can be used with each individual feature too. Additionally it responds to a crying mode where it can detect the baby crying and starts to soothe with music that’s been chosen. There is a USB charging cable provided which means that it’s much more attractive than a battery powered equivalent and definitely a cost saver.

Claire: No as the price is very high and not affordable for a lot of parents, when there are similar products on the market for a much more affordable price. It is a worry with young babies which items they will take to and at this price, it is quite a risk. Also the attachment will fit well onto a cot but not a next to me crib or moses basket.

Katy: I would choose this mainly because of the brand tommee tippee. They are a brand that I am used to seeing and I trust them so would definitely go for them over other brands that I have not seen before. The cry sensor is helpful also as when he started to stir it would restart the melody/heartbeat or whatever i had set it to which would soothe him back to sleep.

What changes would you make to this product?

Chloe: The one thing that I would change about this product is the amount of time that the noises stay on for. For most babies they need the white noise to stay on constantly all night to help them sleep, so 20 or 30 minutes is not enough. Even with the CrySensor, my baby would wake up during the silent times.

Jennifer: It could be slightly smaller if possible, but that really doesn’t matter too much. I honestly wouldn’t change anything else about it, other than if there was an ability to see how much charge the battery had left that would be good – but otherwise I just think it’s a really good addition to anyone’s nursery!

Abbie: I would improve this product by making the battery setting easier to change. Sometimes it is difficult to see what you’re changing from / to, especially in the night time. I would also love it if this product could be controlled via blue tooth so parents can turn it on / switch the volume throughout the evening.
