Splash About New Happy Nappy at a glance:

Splash About has designed the most reliable, reusable baby swim nappy, the New Happy Nappy. Fully-tested and approved by UK swim-schools it offers maximum protection against faecal leaks due to its distinctive ergonomic design.

Technically constructed from malleable neoprene, with contoured panels to cup baby's bottom, innovative fitted gusset and specialist-pressured fabric at the waist and legs to provide a secure, comfortable seal. This form-fitting swim nappy moves as baby moves, but uniquely there's no gaping, regardless of how baby kicks/twists in water. It's value-for-money, reusable and environmentally-friendly. Offering the cleanest possible swim, it's no1 choice for stress-free baby swimming.

How did this product make your life easier?

Naomi: The happy nappy is a great product. It makes swimming so much easier. The fit on them is amazing and there is no risk of leaks with these. I love the reusable wrap liner as this avoids all the waste of disposable swim nappies. They fit really well, even on my chubby legged baby. There is no gaping around the tummy or legs but they seem comfortable and not too tight.

Holly: I think it’s easier if you go swimming all the time instead of buying disposable, and especially useful for swimming lessons – they can reused and save money, which also helps the environment as it's using less waste. I love the fact they are easy to put on, even with a child that wriggles.

Krystina: I absolutely love this happy nappy. When I take my baby swimming I always take this with me. It gives me piece of mind that if he goes to the toilet whilst in the pool he will be 100% secure! This happy nappy first really well without digging in which some others do. It’s easy to wash and drys quick so it’s ready if you need it again the next day,

Would you recommend this product to other parents?

Ruth: The design of the swim nappy makes it really reassuring that you won't have any leaks due to the high stopped back meaning it doesn't gape. The nappies are comfortable to wear and baby can still move about in the water easily. The option to use the nappy liners and wrap makes it more hygienic and able to re enter the water again after disposing of them.

Sarah: I would recommend this product to a fellow mum as the design means its effective as a swim nappy. I currently have to have my toddler" beach ready" before the lesson and thanks to the added inserts the nappy offers more protection both ways while we're waiting for his class. The designs are wonderful and theres a wide variety to choose from. I'm also all for a product that helps reduce plastic waste.

Georgia: Yes, I would recommend to a friend or a fellow mum as they are very well made and lovely design. The sizing also means that as your baby grows you do not need to regularly size up, as the product is stretchy but also secure. It's recommended by both of the swimming venues we have visited and we have never had a problem with the product. Also very easy to clean and dry.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Naomi: Yes. The happy nappy design fits my baby really well. The newer fit seems even better than before and there is no gaping at all around the tummy, back or legs. The designs are great and colourful and they are a really reasonable price. I wouldn't dream of taking my little one in a pool without a happy nappy on!

Ruth: Yes I would choose this product above others on the market due to the quality of the product and its value for money. With something as important as swim hygiene you want features which will ensure it won't leak but at the same time, still being comfortable to wear. The higher scooped back helps this product stand out from other brands.

Holly: At the moment no as due to the coronavirus outbreak I have not been able to use it at swimming baths but I’ve used it in a bath. They will be good when you can go swimming again. The price is good and can use it again and again and just replace the liners. The design is lovely and love that you have choice for the children.

What changes would you make to this product?

Georgia: Sometimes it can be a little bit tricky to get on so this is what I would change. However saying this I do understand that it needs to be secure in order to protect from leaks. I don’t know if some sort of zip would help when getting the nappy on. This is the only thing I would change or improve. The waist band is also a little looser in comparison to the other aspects of nappy

Krystina: There is nothing that I would change about this product at all. I think this product is perfect and there’s nothing that could be done to improve it at all. The fit is just amazing, the design is perfect, there’s a good range of different designs to chose from. So there is nothing at all that I could recommend you change on this product.

Sarah: I'm not sure I would change anything. I was thinking if a child had gone to the toilet and done a number 2 in the nappy its snug fitting design might make it difficult to remove (and messy) but if you lost that then the design would loose its security which is one of the benefits. They are a bit of a challenge to get on and off.
