The TotsBots reusable swim nappy is the perfect addition to any swim kit. Ideal for lounging at the seaside, paddling in the garden or splashing at the local pool. This swim nappy has elasticated legs and adjustable waist for a super-soft flexible fit and neoprene free so no chaffing for baby. Quick and easy waist fastenings means no pulling down poopy nappies over baby's legs and with soft fleece interior next to skin too for maximum comfort in and out of the water. Made from recycled plastic bottles and manufactured with love in the UK.

We spoke to these real parent testers to get their review...

How did this product make your life easier?

Poppy: My son hates wearing single use swimming nappies as they tend to leave imprints at the top of his legs, however the TotsBots nappy is so soft and comfortable on him that we had no issues at all and he seemed to love wearing it. He also wears swimming shorts which fit perfectly over the swimming nappy as they’re not big and bulky like some. The waterproof bag that comes with the nappy is also great as it fit everything in until we could clean them properly once home.

Sam K: The great thing about this is, it can just be chucked in the bag after use along side all the other swim gear after use, no need to go and search for a nappy bin. The fact it’s reusable means it gets washed and put away with everything else, ready to go next time. No more realising you've got no swim nappies left just as your heading into the changing room!

Roisin: We tested this product while we were on holiday and were taking my daughter swimming in the pool and the sea. By using a reusable product, it minimised the amount we needed to pack by saving on the use of disposables. The wet bag that came with it was very handy for keeping the nappy separate from other clothes after use.

Would you recommend this product to other parents?

Sarah: I would recommend this product to a mum/friend who is interested in purchasing because it is a great product. It is made from quality material. Extremely soft to touch and is very easy to put on a baby. However this product is not deemed as accepted for baby swimming groups such as water babies and puddle ducks.

Elise: I would definitely recommend this product to other parents. The colourful design is nice; it felt sturdy; it's environmentally friendly; and I liked the storage bag that it came with for hygienically transporting the wet/dirty nappy from the pool. I was feeling uncertain about how to dress my baby for upcoming swimming classes this autumn, and this product gives me more confidence.

Claire: I would recommend these nappies due to the ease of getting them on and off of a wriggling wet baby. I also like the environmental benefits of not contributing to landfill with disposables. The label also states that two plastic bottles have been recycled in the making of the nappies, adding to the environmental benefits. Despite these the nappies are easy to use, the material is soft against my babies skin, and I liked the matching wet pouch, which would be essential if bringing it home from the pool.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Sam W: I do really like this product, however I would look at others that are slightly cheaper, but do the same job. Its a great product and I really enjoyed using it. But I would try a cheaper version before paying the price this one is asking for. Cost saving at the moment is key and I know in the long run I would essentially spend more on the disposable nappies, but it is something I have to take into account.

Harriet: I would choose the TotsBots Reusable swim nappy over any other reusable swimming nappy because I like the choice of designs. It’s made me want to go to cloth nappies in general as a permanent, really good quality, well made and all in all a good all round product.

Roisin: Since becoming a mother I have become even more conscious of the volume of waste we produce as a family. By using reusable products like this one, we are able to take my daughter swimming frequently without the worry of endless disposable nappies. I liked the fact that the waterproof fabric was also made from recycled materials further reducing waste.

What changes would you make to this product?

Chetna: The product is fantastic and there is not much I would change about the swim nappies. However if there is one thing then that would be to make the product more elasticated and stretchy. I have twins and one twin is slim and the other quite chubby. The fit for the chubby baby was good but a little bit more stretch would have been perfect.

Claire: I’m not sure I would change anything. It’s great as an alternative to a disposable nappy, that can be worn under a tighter neoprene swim nappy, with additional environmental benefits. I wonder if the ultimate reusable swim nappy is something tighter like the neoprene ones, that you can be confident won’t leak, but easier to get on and off like these, Perhaps with a zip up the sides?!

Elise: The main issue I had with this swim nappy is that it became really saturated and heavy once wet. I had to wring it out a lot before putting it in its bag to wash and dry, and I'm not sure how I'd deal with that if there had been poop to deal with. Likewise, it made it harder to dry; my normal dry cycle on my machine wasn't sufficient and I had to take it out of the bag to dry separately afterwards.
