What they say:

“The hustle and bustle of urban environments and public transport can be challenging for anyone, throw a baby or toddler into the mix and hey ho presto, chaos is unleashed. All hail to the rise of the Aurora! Its swift one handed folding action and compact fold allows parents to stow the stroller without any fuss. Pop it into the carry bag and simply wear it over your shoulder for easy transportation. Dual front suspension creates effortless manoeuvrability that makes cluttered environments a doddle. Innovative features include its adaptability for newborns or toddlers.”

This is a really lovely, funky modern buggy. I like the design, the wheels matching the hood and the fact you get to pick a colour! (All the important things hey!) It looks really stylish and robust. It is more like a proper pushchair and is strong and sturdy and nice to push. The seat is comfy and padded and the hood extends. It has storage which is a big plus too! I couldn't believe the price tag and think this is fantastic value for money!

How did the Ickle Bubba Aurora make your life easier?

I thought the one-hand fold thing was a myth as I have never found one which truly uses one hand - well this one does! With a newborn and a toddler plus a preschooler I often only have one hand free (if that) so this is really helpful. I can flick it open or shut whilst holding on to my boy! Love that it also comes in its own carrybag so keeps it clean and easy to move about.

I love the fact that this looks and pushes like a proper pushchair rather than the traditional strollers. It appears to get be very comfy which is often a concern for me when looking at buggies and strollers. The seat unit is fairly wide so has been used by all my children (7 weeks, 2 years and 4 years), it can be pushed as well as folded with one hand which is really a fantastic quality especially when you have more than one child.

What changes would you make to this product?

I think the Ickle Bubba Aurora is pretty much a great all rounder. It folds pretty compact however it still takes a large chunk of boot space and people with smaller cars may avoid it for that reason. Likewise storing at home will take some cupboard space as it is wide rather than long like most strollers. It is also slightly heavier than I would like so if it was a bit lighter that would be great!

This really is lightweight! So easy to assemble and carry around and folds down into a nice manageable size.

How did this product make your life easier?

The size is a real plus. It is also the shape that makes it more manageable. I don't have a big car but I managed to fit two prams and the food shop in the boot. The storage is a good size and the pocket at the back is very handy. I was also impressed with how far the hood came over. The fact the straps still allow the child to move forward was a pro for my friend’s little boy as he felt less restrained and was able to relax more than he would usually.

It is really easy to push around and gives a smooth drive. Although it's says from 0 months my 5-week-old looks really lost in it.

What changes would you make to this product?

There are some features that I couldn't get to work such as getting the leg rest to go down and the collapsing system was very stiff. I would hope that eased over time.

The Ickle Bubba Aurora is perfect as a travel stroller. Our other pushchair is huge, and although I love it, it is totally impractical for trips away and holidays. The Aurora leaves enough room in the car boot for all the other baby stuff we all need to haul around with us! So, I would definitely recommend the Aurora to other mums looking for a compact, easy to pack pushchair.

How did this product make your life easier?

Unlike many compact strollers, the Aurora can be pushed with one hand (useful when you are wrestling a toddler in the other hand....). It's also got a built in sunshade which is ideal because we'll mainly use it on holiday and trips away. The basket is a really decent size, big enough to fit beach stuff, day trip essentials, and the fact I can fit the whole thing in a bag and it doesn't fill my car boot - all makes my life easier!

Would you choose this product to win?

The Aurora Stroller is compact, but it doesn't leave your baby too exposed as some other very compact strollers do. It also lies fully flat which is wonderful for naps, and also means it is possible to use from birth. I think the price is reasonable and perfect for us as I'd use this as an occasional stroller. If you pay more, you can have a compact stroller with more features, but I would choose this one as it's the right balance between value and quality.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing I didn't love about the Aurora Stroller was the drawstring function to lower the seat. However, I guess that other systems to change the seat position may be bulkier so I understand why this one has been used. The Aurora is suitable for use from birth which is a great bonus, however, I think I would be happier using it from 6 months just because I think very young babies are more comfortable in a carrycot, and parent facing.
