Jane Muum Matrix Pram System

This pram system boasts a clever carrycot design that doubles as a car seat too. It’s quite heavy and bulky but is easy to use and has a convenient hand operated brake. You’ll need a big bar boot and space to store this at home, but it’s a very sturdy system.

This innovative travel system includes a lie-flat Matrix car seat that does two jobs
in one – it’s used as a car seat in the upright or lie-flat position and as a newborn carrycot on the pushchair chassis. Other features such as the handlebar-mounted brake which you operate with your thumbs, and the roomy shopping basket impressed us. The handlebar is height adjustable too.

The pram is quick to fold and unfold and switch between modes, but it’s very large and heavy it weights a whopping 13kg in pushchair mode. It’s a good thing the large rear wheels can be removed so it fits better in your car boot. Another plus is that the seat unit is reversible. The Muum is a worthwhile investment, though, as you don’t need to buy a separate car seat.
