High quality convertible tandem that’s easy to use and is perfect if you have a bay and a toddler. Full of useful design details, but it’s quite a heavy model.
This Phil&Ted model has many combinations that you use as your family grows. Suitable from birth, both seats can be easily converted to lie flat carrycot-style, or reclined, and the main seat is reversible.
It can also turn from a double buggy to an upright pram in a couple of clicks.
We like the clever features, for example the handle can be extended for taller pushers by simply sliding it out and the bumper bar (Note: a bar to stop your child falling out of the buggy if they’ve escaped their harness) can be removed so you can get your child in and out more easily.
The Promenade is a stylish and well-built choice, if on the heavy side, especially for baby/toddler siblings but if you want to use it as a travel system it will only work for one child. The seats are a good size but in double mode the carrycot underneath does feel very low to the ground and the child in the rear seat has a restricted view.
