Cosatto Fly Pushchair

The Cosatto Fly pushchair is lightweight, practical and fun at the same time. This pushchair folds up brilliantly small, and can fit into a Fiat 500 boot.

We love the bright and cheery prints and colourways, with Pixelate being our favourite, although some parents might find the designs a bit love/hate. But if there’s one way to make your little one love going out in their pushchair, it’s to choose a design that they love too.

The folding mechanism is easy to use and can be done with one hand - simply press a button and off you go. We were amazed at just how easy it was.

What they say:

“Fly is your lightweight 2 in 1 pushchair perfect for on the move. Along with all the portability and compact curved appeal of your favourite pushchair, Fly is also suitable from birth with its multi-position seat recline and adjustable leg rest. Fly also has a rapid tri-fold. This has to be seen to be believed. Simply press a button, pull a strap and with a smooth glide you have one instant piece of compact luggage. Fly is a complete comfort system for your chick. From footmuff with seasonal flip-over liner, to plush chest pads and tummy pad.”

In my opinion this pushchair won me over. The design of it is very compact meaning that either length ways or forwards it would fit in my boot no trouble and with plenty of space for changing bags and shopping. The 123 folding technique was easy to use and I liked the fact there was no seat to come off from the chassis. The seat was extra wide so for 11 month old he had plenty of room to stretch out but also for my 3-year-old when his legs got tired. He didn't seem too big for it either unlike other pushchairs I've used.

How did this product make your life easier?

Collapsing the pushchair was easy and very quick, no fuss of detaching the seat from the unit. The basket underneath was enough for what I wanted although with the swivel handles I was able to hook other bags on them too. What a great idea to have adjustable handles too; I had it in one position and my husband in another.

The wide seat is a definate plus for me with a 3-year-old who has tired legs. I would feel confident that the seat wouldn't buckle under his weight. On taking the pushchair out if the box I was surprised at how little I had to make. The cosy toes and pram liner were easy to attach as was adjusting the adjustment of the harness.

What changes would you make to this product?

The brake was really hard to kick off meaning I thought I'd released it then went to move and I hadn't. The observation flap to check the child needed to be bigger and almost higher up to get the best view of the child. There didn't seem to be an option to have the pushchair parent facing/world facing. I think as a new mum of a newborn not having this option would put me off.

Yes. It is great that it lasts from birth to beyond toddler years. Based on the size of the seat it will last my little one a long time. I also love the design, I had the fox tale and it is beautiful. It's also easy to wipe clean after spillages. I was able to assemble it without even looking at the instructions.

How did this product make your life easier?

I love how you can adjust the height (eg sitting up or lying down) with the twist of the dial at the back. This means that rather than having only 3 settings (up, down, or in between) you can have many degrees of height available. It also means you can adjust it whilst a little one stays asleep. I also love how you are able to fit all of the things I need to carry in the space underneath.

To me, the design makes it stand out. The print and the colours are very modern, and appeal to my daughter. Unlike other prams, the design kept her attention long enough for me to strap her in. It's also very lightweight which makes it brilliant to push, and has a lot of space underneath for her toys etc. I think prams that are light and spacious are always a winner.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing I can think with this one is that maybe it should come with a sturdier head rest. As it is available to use from birth, the headrest it comes with doesn't really do enough to stop a baby's head from wobbling about. As my little girl is 5 months, this doesn't affect her too much, but I think any smaller and it would have been an issue.

It looked as thought it was very comfortable for my baby to sit in, there was barely a cry out of her when she was sat in it. It's also very lightweight so it is easy for me to lift it up in and out of the house/car by myself. I found it easy to build when taking it out of the box as the parts all slot together, other prams in the category were a lot more complex to put together.

How did this product make your life easier?

Moving it to and from anywhere is easier. I really struggle with the heavier prams, especially when combined with the weight of the baby and the changing bag. This one I was more inclined to walk further as it didn't take up half as much energy. I also liked the flap at the back as this allowed me to see if the baby was asleep without having to walk around to the front.

What changes would you make to this product?

I found that the sun still hit her in the face even with the visor all the way down. A bigger hood would have stopped this. It would have meant that mums could easily push it back if they didn't want it covering completely, but the option is there. The design also attracted a LOT of wasps, with it having lovely bright colours perhaps it should come with a complimentary insect net to protect the children from stings.
