An affordable, super lightweight buggy with a compact fold, this pram is great for holidays and when on public transport. Comes with lots of extras and is suitable from birth but not the sturdiest so better suited for pounding the city streets than country fields
The Zia X is firmly a city buggy – it’s easy to fold and extremely light, making it ideal for mums using public transport and with small car boots. It folds to the size of a bag of golf clubs, so ideal for those with limited storage space too.
The Zia X comes with lots of added extras, a raincover, sun canopy and a fairly roomy shopping basket, making the overall package good value. The five point harness and adjustable handles are great features too.Although the seat can lie completely flat, making it officially suitable from birth, our testers felt it lacked comfort and support for newborns and generally found it flimsy.
It’s a shame that it’s forward facing only too. Still, it’s not a bad choice if you want a low-cost buggy for around town and trips away, but it’s not sturdy enough for any off-terrain activity and you’d need to add a padded liner or footmuff to make it cosier for newborns.
