Winning gold in our Safety Product award category this year, our panel of mum testers loved everything about this toddlers mattress - from how comfy their babies seemed to find it, to the removable cover which made washing easy.

How did this product make your life easier?

Rachael: This mattress is fantastic. The fact that the cover can be unzipped and washed but the mattress remains useable whilst this is happening is great. It means that if there are any accidents they can easily be dealt with. The outer layer is also wipeable which is a great addition as it means any small leaks can be dealt with without having to completely change the cover.

Ruth: This mattress is a perfect fit for our cot bed. It was easy to unpack and air off and fit all standard cot bed sheets. My life is made easier knowing that we have a quality product for my daughter to sleep on and that the mattress will last right through to when we turn the cot into a bed. It looks like it will be easy to clean and hygienic.

Pamela: I absolutely love this product. The mattress is fantastic and it absolutely makes my life easier. My daughter loves the mattress - she sleeps so soundly. The machine washable cover is a lifesaver and it also dries really quickly which is so important. My daughter can also sleep on the mattress without the cover which is brilliant if we have any accidents at bedtime or during the night.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Michelle: I would recommend this mattress as it contains the waterproof layer which would benefit any mum during the night if an accident happened. This would save on having to purchase a new mattress. This mattress has a feature that will help to stop your baby from overheating and keeps them cool during their sleep.

Jess: I would recommend this product to fellow mums because of its affordable price tag. It looks like a very high-end product but thankfully has the high street price tag. My small baby seems happy to be in their cot now. It fits supermarket brand sheets really well. It's also slotted straight into the cot bed with zero effort.

Lucy: Yes, I would most definitely recommend to another mum. The individually pocketed springs that are cushioned by layers of foam to provide superior comfort and support for baby’s body as they sleep. The springs are durable, making this mattress an investment for many good nights of sleep. There is a wipeable, waterproof layer to protect the mattress’ spring and foam core from all the enviable bodily fluids our little angels produce. Its size fits the majority of cot bed sizes so the “search” for the best mattress for your precious one is void as this is the one, it’s cover can be taken off if any biohazards come in to contact with it and whilst that is in the wash. The baby can still sleep on the mattress due to its design so the baby always has a comfortable bed to sleep. There is no need to wait until the cover is dry to put the baby down for sleep. The mattress isn’t very heavy, it’s light enough for one person to carry up a flight or stairs or two and place in its new home. The price is amazing!

Would you choose this product to win?

Michelle: I would choose this product over others on the market due to the waterproof layer. This is essential for children, especially through the night. I would also choose the product because of the feature that stops your baby from overheating as this is very important especially in the summer as babies cannot regulate their body temperature as well.

Jess: Yes I believe I would. The price tag isn't eye-watering. It's is a well-presented product and is extremely comfortable. I have fallen asleep on it many times and have no issues with it. It's light and airy. I think this product is a strong contender for winning and should definitely be up there with the best.

Rachael: I think this product should win. I have been so happy with it that I am going to go and buy another one for my son to use as well. The Coolmax technology with the fact that it claims to reduces overheating and helps reduce the build-up of bacteria is a great selling point and I think it is really worth the money.

What changes would you make to this product?

Pamela: I don’t think that I would really change anything about the product. The fit is great for the cot bed. It is so comfortable for my daughter. It’s a quality design and looks like it will be long-lasting. It’s breathable and has been great for my daughter's temperature at night. The price is good for a high-quality product.

Ruth: Other than the price there isn't anything that I would change about the product. Is it well made and the airflow is a real bonus for the safety of our baby girl. It would be good if it came with an integrated waterproof element so that we didn't have to buy a separate mattress cover but that is a very small gripe.

Lucy: To be honest, for the price of £116, I don't think that the mattress has anything I'd change. Although I've only had it three weeks for testing, my son seems to be comfortable in his sleep. The mattress seems of good quality and I don't doubt it could hold up against a bout of the dreaded stomach flu that is enviably going to hit my house once my eldest goes to school.
