At a glance:

Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment is an easy to apply, breathable barrier cream that helps keep little bottoms happy and protected. Young babies, especially during the first months, have a very vulnerable and sensitive skin and Bepanthen's tailored formula protects their skin from irritants and other causes of nappy rash.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Emma: I would recommend this ointment as it is transparent, has a non-offensive smell and is really mild. The tube is a good size for my nappy bag. I like the fact it is a tube rather than a tub as it is easier to use with one hand and easier to keep clean.

Georgina: I would recommend this cream to a friend as it does what I would expect from a nappy cream. Luckily, it is rare for my baby to get a nappy rash but at the first sign of any redness I have put a small layer of Bepanthen on and the redness has resolved by the next nappy change. One small tube lasts a very long time.

Heather: I would definitely recommend this to other mums who are looking for something to help soothe their baby's skin. It’s sped up nappy changes and quickly clears up any signs of soreness or redness. The different tube sizes mean you can have a handy travel sized version in your changing bag and bigger tubes at home for everyday use.

How did this product make your life easier?

Sarah: I absolutely love Bepanthen and have used it regularly for all my babies. It’s great on dry itchy skin and thrush type rashes too. If my children get a splinter, I put some Bepanthen on under a plaster and the next morning the splinter will just pop out! It is a great versatile product that is easy to use and works brilliantly.

Hannah: The tube is very user-friendly. I much prefer a tube to a pot as it is more hygienic and I am happy using one tube for both my children. It is easy to take out and about and the product is a good consistency.

Rachelle: This product makes things a lot easier. It is in a little tube meaning I can keep it in the change bag and use it wherever I like. It isn't too sticky and you can put it in the right places without the cream making a mess.

Would you choose this product to win?

Nathalie: I would like Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment to win as I found that it is better than the leading nappy care product on the market. I much prefer using one that can be squeezed out of a tube rather than dipping my fingers in a pot, which is unhygienic and impractical.

Sabina: The ointment does not leave a mess when applied and can be used on sensitive skin. Easy to carry and good value for money. Size of the tube means that it can easily be stored in a baby changing bag and used on the go.

Georgina: I would choose this product above other nappy creams I have tried as it brings excellent and speedy results. It stops a slightly red bottom from becoming a full nappy rash. The product is easy to use due to the handy tube it comes in.

What changes would you make to this product?

Heather: I cannot think of anything that could be done to improve the quality and design of this product. It’s been well thought out and the ergonomics of the design of the tube make it so easy to use. The colours of the packaging are calming and attractive to look at and it’s very clear what the intended purpose is.

Nathalie: There is nothing that I would change about the product. I enjoyed using it, the size was handy and portable, the texture felt nice to apply and it was not sticky. It was easy to clean and very hygienic. It is gentle for my baby as it is free of preservatives, antiseptics and perfume.

Georgina: The only thing I find annoying about the cream is that it requires soap and water to get it off your finger. Presumably, that's because it works so well at repelling water, part of its excellent qualities as a barrier cream. Overall though this is an excellent product that I cannot fault.
