At a glance:

Our panel of mum testers loved how soft these Pampers nappies felt on their baby’s legs and found they kept leakages to a minimum. They might not be the cheapest on the market, but these are a great option if your baby has sensitive skin.

How did this product make your life easier?

Emma: The nappy fitted well and was excellent at drawing wetness away from the skin. My baby’s skin was not irritated at all by the nappy and no nappy rash was suffered during the use of the nappies, which would support that it undertakes its function of keeping urine off the skin. There were no nappy explosions.

Lara: The nappy works well. I’ve not had any leakages or explosions. The line on the front indicates if it is wet. It lasts overnight. My baby seems comfortable wearing them and hasn’t had a nappy rash from wearing them.

Katie: They are very lightweight and not bulky which is great as they fit easily into the smallest of nappy bags. The wetness indicator is useful to see when the baby has done even the smallest of wees. It is very obvious when the baby has done a poo as the smell permeates immediately-useful or not useful depending on your point of view! My experience was the nappies held in everything required. But my baby didn’t fully ‘test it with a poosplosion' so I cant vouch for that!

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Alex: I would recommend these nappies to other people and I actually have done. I liked that they weren't to thick like some nappies can be. They seemed lightweight but had the holding performance needed. They were very easy to use and none of the tabs snapped off when putting them on. My daughter seemed quite happy wearing them.

Eusra: I would recommend this product to a friend especially if their baby has sensitive skin and does not tolerate other nappies as I feel that the material of these nappies is particularly soft. They are slightly more expensive than other retailer’s own brand nappies, however, only a few other nappy brands that I have used are equal in how good these nappies are. They are not organic and therefore they might not be everyone’s first choice.

Lucy: Yes I would recommend this nappy as I like the softness and comfort of the product, and it performs well under normal circumstances. It did leak when my baby was unwell and had diarrhoea. Other major brands also leaked (Aldi, Tesco). The quality is good, as would be expected for a product that has a higher price than other similar products.

Would you choose this product to win?

Josie: The quality of these nappies makes them stand out. They stretch and adapt well and are easy to put on a wriggling baby with no movement experienced. They are true to size too which is really important and has good absorption. It would be nice to see a more fun design on the nappy to make them stand out more and inject some personality through the brand but the product itself is very good.

Alex: Although I liked this nappy, I'm not sure I would go as far as to say it should win. The reason for this being would be that I feel the price is too high. There are other nappies on the market that have the same qualities as this brand and at a much lower price. I would say if the price was revised then it would have a better chance of winning. The quality is amazing, but the price is not so amazing.

Lara: Possibly. I have heard from friends using Pampers that they cause a nappy rash – I haven’t had this problem but it seems to be quite common. However, I would not recommend this product as it is way more expensive than supermarket brands and no better in its function. So whilst it is useful to product test these nappies, I won’t be buying them myself.

What changes would you make to this product?

Emma: If there was any way to make it easier to get on a very mobile baby. Sometimes it can be tricky to get the tabs into the correct position when the baby is wriggling about.

Laura: The fit needs to be improved, they seemed very baggy and so wasn't as absorbent as I would like and with a moving baby extra nappy changes were not great, especially at this price point. The design is good as not too bright so would not show through a white outfit

Eusra: I feel that as a nappy, this product is great! With soft material, great absorbency and a nice design, this product is one of the best nappies. However, the price of the nappies is the only thing that would make me hesitate in buying these nappies over some other brands or supermarket's own nappies, which are almost as good as these nappies. Therefore as a mum, the only thing that would make my life easier whilst on maternity leave especially, is to make it slightly cheaper!
