At a glance:

Our panel of mum testers loved these nappies! The bamboo material was extremely soft, hygienic to use and easy to wash too. The poppers were a great way to secure a snug fit on baby, and prevented little legs from being rubbed by Velcro. The nappies are also much thinner than others in this category.

What they say:

“They are all-in-one. The green bud nappies are incredibly convenient and easy to use. No folding needed, no extra boosters, and no waterproof wrap, as the waterproof cover is attached to the absorbent layer. They come in soft bamboo fibre, in beautiful and colourful patterns. Mix and match our patterns or just go with one of them. One size fits all from birth to the potty. We added poppers enabling you to create a snug fit. Velcro tends to absorb dust and hair on the long run. It also sticks to cover fabric and ruins it. Poppers will stay clean and preserve the cover.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The Greenbud nappy is an easy reusable nappy to use as it is very absorbent. The style is lovely and the popper system is practical - we really prefer it in our household as it eliminates the risk of Velcro rubbing on little legs. The nappy is small and compact, despite being so absorbent. This was a great bonus as we found the bulkier reusable nappies off-putting.

How did this product make your life easier?

The poppers make the Green Bud nappy very easy to use, as do the sewn in inserts! There is no need to stuff the nappy with inserts and boosters which saves time and energy. The nappy is also tumble dry safe which is amazing and the fact that the product is organic makes my life easier, because I like to use natural products whenever possible.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes. For the reasonable price, I would definitely choose to add more of these nappies to our collection. The designs are lovely and different to others on the market, and for a product that is natural and organic the price is fantastic! The only thing I have noticed is that the cotton that goes against the skin has shrunk slightly in the wash, so the insert no longer sits flat. I would hope this could be addressed by the company.

What changes would you make to this product?

The leaflet which came with the Green Bud nappy was not very informative. It did not specify how many layers were in the nappy or what the layers were made of. Knowing how many layers there are and what they are made of is useful for mums as they can decide whether the nappies will be absorbent enough for their little ones. There are also no instructions, so if I was a new user I might not know how to arrange the inserts. More detailed washing instructions would also be more helpful.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would only recommend this to mums who want to go down the reusable nappy route. It is simple to use and durable, but there are no additional liners to use, which I believe is necessary to make soiled nappies more hygienic.

How did this product make your life easier?

The nappy I received said 0-3 months but fit generously on my 6-month-old. It had popper fasteners to ensure a snug fit. I found the nappy didn't leak and held contents well inside. Then afterwards, it was so easy to wash.

Would you choose this product to win?

I don’t have much experience with reusable nappies so I’m not sure. I didn't like the fact that there were no additional disposable liners, but I love the popper fasteners as Velcro used to come apart more frequently. I feel that my child is secure in these nappies.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would make the nappies slightly thinner so that they are not so bulky under clothing. I found it slightly restricted the amount of room in trousers, making the clothing appear too tight.

This reusable nappy is soft and comfortable for baby. It makes for a much quicker and efficient bum change for my wriggly little one, as I only change the liner every time. This also makes the change bag lighter as we generally only take liners out with us. The liners are flushable so it saves smelly nappies lying in the bin until the next rubbish run!

How did this product make your life easier?

The soft material and bamboo fibres on the inside were really absorbent (when the inevitable poonami happened) which made life easier as there were so leaks. The nappy was easy to clean afterwards as well. In fact, the cotton was softer after each wash, which was a lovely feature. My little one didn't have elastic marks on his legs after a night’s sleep, which he always did with disposable nappies.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes. I am quite new to reusable nappies, but would definitely buy more for future use. These nappies were lovely to use, and simple to wash. The designs were and the price point was very reasonable too!

What changes would you make to this product?

Nothing, it was a great experience!
