Osprey 4 Poco AG Plus Baby Carrier Review

We like the integrated sunshade and rain cover of the Osprey 4 Poco AG Plus Baby Carrier, and the adjustable foot stirrups are an excellent additional feature.

It’s robust and durable, but better suited to serious walkers than urban wanderers.

There are plenty of pockets and, although it’s bulky, it folds neatly away. Suitable from six months to 22kg.

Tested by Kate Bishop, mum to Holly, six months, and Poppy, two and a half years. She says:

“Difficult to put on and bulky – I had to be careful to avoid knocking into things. It didn’t fit in my car footwell. However, the stand is extremely strong, clicks easily into place and stays put.

“Overall it’s stylish, great quality, comfortable to wear and easy to use. It works well with both children and there’s room for growth.”

Tested by Kate Gillies, mum to Rafe, 13 months. She says:

“Fab colour, but a beast for size and price!

“The instructions were definitely needed. Five minutes of furrowed brows were followed by five minutes of fiddling before we were off. Adjustable foot loops get a big thumbs up.

“Best for serious hikers, though – it’s almost embarrassing to wear for a wander round the duck pond!”

Tested by Nikki Hunt, mum to Emmy, two years. She says:

“The sunshade gave great coverage and was easy to use, and it was easy to collapse the legs while I had the carrier on. The child harness was well padded, but I found it fiddly to adjust.

“My biggest gripe, though, was that the hip-belt dug in and I couldn’t get it and shoulder straps to adjust so both were comfy.”
