We say: Brilliant value – it offers most of the functionality of the other models tested, but for a fraction of the price. The camera has good pan and tilt options, but these can’t be operated remotely. The two-way communication and night-vision mode are very reassuring once your baby starts sleeping in his own room.

Tested by mum Christina and Ethan, 9 weeks:

Of all the monitors we tested, this isn’t the most stylish looking. But looks can be misleading, because it does everything you need it to. It’s easy to set up and has plenty
of additional features – I especially like being able to reassure Ethan even when I’m in another room. The screen is on the small side,
but it gives a really clear picture both day and night.

Tested by mum Felicity and Aphra, 8 months:

This is basic, but we prefer it to some pricier models as it’s so simple and efficient. Installation was straightforward. The video is good quality and I like that the talk function isn’t crackly like it is on some of the other monitors. The only drawbacks are that the  lullabies sound a bit electronic and you have to plug the parent unit in overnight as it takes a while to charge.

Tested by mum Lindsey and Aaliyah, 11 months:

I really like the sleek design and how simple this is to use – all the features are displayed on screen and are easy to follow. It’s lightweight and compact – perfect for travel use. The picture quality is a little grainy and the infrared isn’t as clear as daytime coverage, but it gives all the reassurance needed. Great value – you’d never guess this was the cheapest option.
