2014 - Shortlisted for 'Best Baby Monitor' Award!

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature’s Digital Video Monitor is great value for money, with lots of nice features. The sound and screen quality is good; clear, with excellent range. The monitor has two-way conversation functionality as well as a temperature gauge and sensor mat. The night light can be controlled from the parent unit (a nifty feature) but there are a lot of wires involved in the set up, which can get messy. Positioning is also paramount with this product and getting the right angle is tricky. Overall, it’s an attractive, neat little unit – highly recommended!

Reviewed by Rebecca McKelvey, 32, and Leonora, six months, from East London

Rebecca said: ‘The video quality is superb. The audio is very sensitive – I could hear Leonora breathing.

‘It comes with a movement sensor, but you have to plug it in separately, which is awkward if you don’t have a socket near the cot. The monitor is simple and intuitive to use.

‘Some more affordable models have similar functionality, though.’
