How did this product make your life easier?

Charlotte: I loved using this style of wrap when my son was a newborn as I could use the wrap around the house with him securely close to me whilst getting on with everyday tasks. It felt like wearing another item of clothing rather than a big bulky carrier. This wrap is also great if you are breastfeeding with them in it and baby decides to fall asleep as you do not need to disturb them. You can simply wrap baby back around you and carry on with them supported close to you.

Catia: This wrap did help me a lot, my son is a baby that wants to be held all the time, so this was a godsend. I put my son on the wrap and he goes to sleep straight away, and it’s so easy to put on and take it off. Also having three children, being hands-free on the school run it’s great. It’s great to do some housework, also I was really amazed that I managed to breastfeed my son while having him wrapped.

Jacqui: I am an avid sling and wrap user and this is a must-have in order to get things done around the house and do the supermarket shop. My girls loved being on my chest as newborns (particularly my eldest who was a very reflux-y baby) and I have continued to use wraps past the newborn stage particularly for the shorter “on the go” naps.

Would you recommend this to other parents?

Rob: A good lightweight material that washes well and comes in a range of colours. Easy to pop in the change bag without taking up additional unwanted space meaning you don’t have to choose between your morning snack and a change of top or the carrier. Once you figure out how to use it, it is a great accessory that you will wonder how you ever managed without. It grows with your child meaning the bond between you will grow stronger too.

Cara: I have told lots of my friends about the Amawrap already! I like the design is shorter than a normal stretchy wrap so it’s much quicker to use. It’s nice and soft for newborns and makes them feel secure. It is a useful baby product for having a baby especially if they are colicky! It’s really useful to have in your bag when out of your baby doesn’t like pram for long periods of time!

Sophie: Yes. Great stylish designs, easy to transport and fold up into the baby bag and can be used when out and about. Easy to use but the website also provides a video guide on how to use and adapt e.g. for twin carry, breastfeeding carry and hip carry. It did take me a while to get my head around how to use the sling but the ama wrap team also provide a live chat support and email support to help parents understand how to use the sling safely. The sling is very comfortable for mum and child to use. This sling has been safety checked to ensure it is safe for babies to suck! but is also very easy to wash and keep clean. I found this a lot more supportive and comfortable to use than other slings I have previously tried.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Jules: Yes I would. This jumper can be bought at any time for any use. It’s not solely for pregnancy and not solely for nursing. It doesn’t need to be packed away at the end of your pregnancy or nursing journey, you can carry on using it. I think with most maternity clothing has a baggy front to fit growing bumps, then can’t be worn after. This is the opposite. And most nursing clothing has obvious clasps and buttons, whereas the discreet zip is totally different. It’s a great idea and not something I’ve seen on the market before. Style-wise, it can be dressed down as Loungewear or dressed up with a nice pair of jeans too. There are lots of possibilities with this product and I just think it’s an all-round great design, well thought through & very very useful.

Charlotte: For the price and time it takes to put on and adjust, I would prefer to use a newborn sling with more structure and safety features. Other competitors offer a sling that is ready to use straight away once put on without worrying there in it correctly. Although with this style of wrap it is lovely to feel baby so close to you as if they are part of you, I just felt worried about the support it was giving.

Catia: I think this product should be considered to win because it is great, it folds really well, you can easily take it with you on your changing bag. Fabric is very soft, there are many colours to choose from, it’s very long in length so anyone can use it even men. It’s a light fabric so it’s great for summer.

What changes would you make to this product?

Jacqui: The price point is towards the medium/higher end of the wrap selections on the market. In order to make it more premium, could include a small pouch/cover that one can use to hang off the buggy or use when it got dirty. Other than that I love everything about this product and the material is just perfect.

Rob: My wife said she would have changed the design (I picked plain grey she wanted flowers) For me I think if I would have had the trial when my daughter was younger I would have said nothing but as she was older I found it uncomfortable on my back. I’m 6ft 4 and was unable to fit it comfortably without my wife’s help so I would change the lack of back support.

Cara: The only thing I would change is that a carry bag would be very useful! Other than that I can’t think of anything else I would change. I was really happy to try out this wrap and was able to try it on a newborn and a toddler and it was comfortable to use with both babies and I will continue to use it with my toddler!
