Purflo Keep Me Close Breathable Bedside Crib

At a glance:

This breathable, washable and hypoallergenic bedside crib keeps your precious little one close and safe when sleeping side-by-side.  It’s an alternative to co-sleeping and attaches easily to your bed with a drop side rail & connection system, a 6 height adjuster and has an incline option to raise one end to ease your baby’s cold or reflux.  It can also be used around the house as a stand-alone crib.  The air-permeable mesh sides and breathable mattress also reduce the chance of your baby overheating.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Jessica: This bedside crib is really beautiful. We used this at both our house and my parents. We even took it on holiday. We liked how the height adjustment features were broad since there was a big difference between the beds we used it with. The mesh sides were great for full visibility when used as a stand-alone crib. My favourite thing about it was the incline option to help aid congestion and/or reflux. My husband assembled the crib easily each time.

Ellen: This product was really easy to assemble and is light so very easy to move. I really liked the breathable fabric sides as tiny arms and legs can't get trapped in them like some traditional cribs. The breathability means if baby gets too close then there isn't a worry they will suffocate. Its nice and wide giving baby lots of space.

Stacey: I would recommend this to other mums because it’s totally breathable and this is reassuring and essential with a newborn or small baby. The design is very sturdy and well made, making it a very robust cot that you can fully trust. It’s very attractive and modern looking. The fact that it’s fairly lightweight means that you can transport it easily. It was very quick and straightforward to assemble too.

How did this product make your life easier?

Michelle: This cot made life easier with its breathable mesh sides giving good visibility making it a lot easier to see and reach for my little one for breastfeeding in the middle of the night. It comes with a handy travel bag but to transport you have to fully take it apart, unlike some which you can just unclip and they fold up. If you plan on travelling a lot this might not work for you.

Samantha: I absolutely loved this bedside crib. We had opted for another brand before our little one came along but I wish I'd seen this one first. It was the easiest bedside crib to put together and took no time at all to build. It was a nice height to sit alongside our bed.

Holly: As a new mum you are constantly worrying about your baby, especially at night. It is so lovely to have a product where you can be close to your baby and feel like they are safe. As a breastfeeding mother, having a cot that joins to the bed makes things so much easier as you can feed your baby and then put them back to sleep without having to get out of bed!

Would you choose this product to win?

Rachel: Yes I would. The design is sleek and would fit into any home, the build quality is good and I like the breathable mesh sides. Most bedside cribs have one mesh side so you can see into the crib but this one gives far better visibility of your little one. The mesh also means it is less concerning if your little one does roll and bury their head in the side panel.

Ellen: I think this product should win. I really like the breathable aspect. As a new mum, there are lots of scary stories about babies suffocating in their cribs and this product adds another level of security and peace of mind. It meets all of the things I looked for in a crib - it is safe and comfortable for baby and it is not too big or cumbersome.

Samantha: I think cost wise this product is on par with other bedside cribs. As it is so easy to build and has smooth sides it is a winner for me. I know what will be on my wishlist for baby number two. I think there are a lot of products on the market which as new parents you are bamboozled into buying, however, this is a simple winner for me!

What changes would you make to this product?

Holly: I think the one thing I would change about this cot is the adjustable height. I could not find a height that fit flush against my bed meaning I would worry if I were to use this as it could be a health hazard. It would still work as a stand alone cot but that defeats the whole idea behind it.

Rachel: There is nothing I would change about this product. It looks good, it is functional, of good build quality and is safe for your little one. The only suggestion I can think of is that it could be made in a variety of colours to give people a choice but the current colour is neutral and would fit with any décor. This product is slightly more expensive than it's competitors but not excessively so and I would be happy to pay the extra.

Ellen: At first glance, the mattress felt quite thin and soft and didn't look very comfortable. However, as it is breathable, this was more important to me. When my baby was in the crib she seemed comfortable and didn't sink into the mattress like I thought she might.
