How did this product make your life easier?
Clare: The Lansinoh Washable Nursing Pads are the most comfortable reusable nursing pads I have tried. It is shaped for a better fit which makes it comfortable to wear and doesn't scrunch up making it more discreet. The outer lining also helps prevent it from slipping and keeping it in place. The pads are good quality and very absorbent. I have a heavy let down and I have had no problems with pad saturation and milk leaking through to my clothing. The pads come with a mesh wash bag for keeping them together in the washing machine. The pads wash very well and do not shrink or bobble at all. They keep their shape and retain their softness.
Maria: As a breastfeeding mum, nursing pads have been invaluable. They are a necessity to most new mums but can sometimes be used longterm with breastfeeding. It does seem such a waste when you realise how many pads you need. These pads are great, I did not have to keep buying any more disposable pads as they are reusable.
Verity: It's great that they are shaped and fitted with a smooth shape into my nursing bra. They easily squash down when feeding. I found that disposable ones would crumple and not sit comfortably after a few feeds. They wash well and come with a small net which is helpful for keeping them together and not getting lost in the wash. There are two sets so one to wear and one to wash.
Would you recommend this to other mums?
Lauren: The environmentally friendly aspect of these definitely appeals as does the feeling of weightlessness even after a day’s use making them very comfortable. The washing bag means that they can just be popped in the wash with other laundry requiring no extra effort. I was a little surprised that the box didn’t contain any instructions, although it may seem obvious but nowhere does it mention which way round they should be worn!
Sarah: The design fits well and absorbs all leaking milk. The fabric is lovely and soft which aids with comfort against a sensitive part of your body. The product also comes with a mini washable bag so there is no chance of losing any in the wash. The pads when washed always appear as new, even at 30 degrees.
Thomas: This product helps to keep me comfortable when breastfeeding as I get quite sensitive. The shape and the different texture on each side make them easy to pop back in one-handed the right way round - essential when juggling a wiggly baby! The shape means they are less prominent under clothing so give a more natural look - great for out and about!
Would you choose this product to win?
Katie: The Lansinoh Washable Nursing Pads should be one of the market leaders in Washable breast pads as the shape of them really stood out for me. Most pads are just round and flat whereas these actually feel like they are contoured to your nipples, making it a pleasant experience wearing them. They are very slim too so very discreet unlike some that are quite bulky. Hats off for them being washable and eco-friendly.
Lauren: Compared to circular breast pads I have tried, these Lansinoh Washable Nursing Pads have the benefit of the seams not being visible through underwear/clothing, however I do feel that the shape makes them more prone to folding and moving out of position. This also means that they have to be put in a very particular position which requires some practice when trying to put back in place after feeds especially once partially saturated with milk. I like the material which doesn’t feel ‘towel like’ and is soft against the skin. In conclusion, I liked the concept of this product but I didn’t find it made my life as easy as it could have.
Nicola: Yes, the Lansinoh brand is highly reputable and I am impressed with the reliability of the product. I do think this product should win as it is good for the environment and kind to your breasts. The thickness is perfect, not too thick that it fills out your breast but thick enough for absolute absorbency day or night.
What changes would you make to this product?
Sarah: The one thing that I would change about his product is the variety of colours that it comes in. I would like to see it available in more than just white so that I can match the colour pad I'm wearing with the colour of my bra, for example, black pads with a black bra. This would enhance the discreetness of the pad.
Clare: I would like to see a wet bag or second mesh bag included as I often have change pads during the day when I am out and am currently adding them to my nappy wet bag. A small wet bag would allow the transport of used nursing pads without either using a nonrecyclable nappy sack or mixing them in with dirty nappies.
Maria: The only negative for me is that the Lansinoh Washable Nursing Pads take a long time to dry after washing. This is of course because they are so absorbant and actually the reason that they are great. I only mention this as I cannot think of any real negatives, the product is great. I would love more pads in the pack so that I don't have to get them washed so quickly.
