How did this product make your life easier?

Alysen: As a busy mum of three, this product was great. The built-in charger meant I could use the pump anywhere in the house, particularly useful whilst trying to supervise the older two children. I found I used it the most in the car when my husband was driving so a bottle was ready when we got to our destination and meant he could be included in feeding the baby. Everything can go in the dishwasher and with the ease of MAM bottles being able to be sterilised in the microwave it was easy to get 1 bottle ready really quickly. I also had a timer so you knew how long you had been expressing for. Once set up you could just sit back and relax while expressing milk.

Tyler: One of the things that stands out for me with the mam 2 in 1 pump is the electric pump can be used wirelessly. When you’re in a rush to pump the last thing you want to be doing is messing around with wires or trying to find a free plug that’s next to somewhere comfortable to sit. Being able to sit wherever and use wherever is super handy. It makes the pump that much more portable and can be taken anywhere which definitely makes my life that much easier which is a godsend when you’re dealing with a newborn.

Hannah: This product makes my life easier as a mum by not including too many parts to faff around with. It is very quick and simple to change from manual to electric. The portable battery unit is great if I needed to express and wasn’t close by to a plug socket. And this brand of breast pump is great because it comes with self-sterilising bottles which are great in themselves but it also comes with milk storage containers so you don’t have to worry about buying separate storage for your expressed milk as it all comes within the box. The whole unit when used as an electric pump is very light and compact and is no trouble at all to carry around.

Would you recommend this to other parents?

Ellie: Yes definitely. I would recommend it to a mum who was new to breastfeeding and didn't know how they were going to get on with pumping, as it allows them to try both ways. The main reason though that I would recommend this pump is because of the fact it's compatible with the MAM bottles and they are so convenient to use with their self-sterilising feature. This is really useful for mums who travel a lot. As a military wife, I'm always travelling to see family due to the fact I don't live locally to them, so it's really important to me that the pump is travel friendly and no need to pack the big bulky steriliser! Overall, it's really simple to navigate, it's easy to clean and most importantly, it's comfortable! It does everything you need a pump to do but lacks extra features like being the ability to be used hands-free. For the price though I think it's a fair product.

Shannen: I would recommend this product to other mums firstly, not only are you are getting a manual and electric pump in one which is easily interchangeable by simply swapping the top. You also are getting an affordable product without lacking in quality and effective pumping always maintaining a steady milk flow which has halved my expressing time.

Hannah: I would recommend this product to a fellow mum for a number of reasons. One of those reasons being how portable it is. It is a really good size to be able to carry around in my changing bag. The battery unit has a really good life at up to 5 hours on a full charge! I really like having the option to have a manual pump and an electric pump with just one unit. The electric pump comes in handy when I want to express if I am going to be away from my baby and the manual pump is good if I am ever uncomfortable and need to relieve any milk pressure. I would also recommend it because sometimes as new money the market of breast pumps can be daunting, knowing which to choose, and this provides both which takes a lot of stress away.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Tyler: I have tried quite a few breast pumps during my time breastfeeding (I’m now feeding my second child) and the MAM one is definitely up there with the best. The bottles/teats are some of the nicest and also closest to a breast that I’ve used and I find my baby likes these bottles very much. I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite pump although it’s a close second but that’s only because the design of the other pump is a lot more sophisticated.

Catherine: I think this pump is a very comprehensive set. It includes everything that you need if you were wanting to express milk to feed to a baby, with a lot of added extras. I think they have gone above and beyond with some of the features included in this set. It's really good that the bottles included are anti-colic, which you can self-sterilize, rather than basic bottles. The adaptability of the pump set-up and the many different options for adjusting to personal requirements mean it’s a pump that can be used by virtually any mother in any situation, which is why I think this product should win.

Alysen: I really loved this pump. I have used other products that hurt to express milk and are complicated to set up and store expression rhythms. This pump however just needed 1 click at a time to adjust modes and power to mimic how your baby sucks. It was just so simple and all the time letting you know how long you had been expressing for. This could be either connected to the mains or on a rechargeable battery. The whole product was just great

What changes would you make to this product?

Suzanne: I can honestly say there is nothing I would change about this pump. It’s perfect. The rechargeable option, the accessories it comes with it just has everything you could need and more and it looks cool and is very quiet. An excellent product, I’m a big fan of MAM and this product is just like their other items brilliant.

Shannen: I find this question difficult to answer because I have been extremely happy with the product and found no faults in the quality or usability of the pump. However compatible teats on the storage cups to save having to transfer the milk once defrosted would be a good feature as well as having a Mam pump bra on the market so I could buy with confidence that the bra would 100% fit the pump to make pumping completely hands free.

Hannah: If I had to pick just one thing to change about this product I would add a feature to the electric motor unit, which allows you to lock the display screen. There has been many a time when I have tried to use this and accidentally knocked the display that has either adjusted the setting or stopped it. It is frustrating. Having another child around who can also bump into the screen or is curious would mean a lock function would be great.
