Finding the best breast pump for you as a new mum is so important. Ideal for mums that are planning to express everyday, the Nuby Digital Breast Pump has both stimulation and expression functions: the stimulation phase helps to encourage milk let-down and the expression phase helps to collect breast milk.

The electric breast pump is easy to use and also has a digital control panel that is easy to read in daylight and at night-time and has five settings for both suction and speed, to adjust to your flow rate. The horn is made from soft silicone for added comfort.

The pump is quiet and discreet and comes with the award-winning Nuby Bottle for easy transition between breast and bottle.

Pros

  • Comfortable and gentle
  • Easy to use
  • Quiet

Testing the Nuby Natural Touch Digital Electric Breast Pump

How did this product make your life easier?

Rachel Cowell: This breast pump is so easy to use, quick to pump when you’re in a rush and it is so handy as it’s portable. I managed to pump a lot of milk and it was very efficient. It isn't as loud as some pumps which makes it very discreet and it’s not too big and bulky to store whilst not in use, it is designed very well. There's plenty of settings to choose from and there's also a stimulation setting to help encourage milk, which is brilliant especially when your milk supply settles down a bit.

Jennifer: This has been my favourite breast pump so far and I have used a few. When I received it, it was really easy to assemble and really straight forward to use. I can pump around 6oz in the 30 minute timer where I could only pump around 2oz in other pumps I have used. It has made expressing very easy and also very comfortable as you can find the right suction which works for you.

Rachel Carpenter: This breast pump is really efficient at pumping milk. I've found it far more comfortable to use than the hand pump and it's particularly good as it's small and portable. I'll definitely be taking this away on holiday with me and won't be worrying about it taking up space in my bag. I've found I can do other things at the same time as pumping as I'm able to walk round using the product which I wouldn't have expected to be able to. I have to say I'm very impressed!

Tracy: I love the fact that the display unit is a rechargeable mobile unit and I don't have to pay out for extra batteries. I found the display panel very user friendly, even when battling sleep deprivation! Also the controls were very easy to adjust the suction for efficient, comfortable pumping. I liked the minutes display on the panel too, as I knew how long I had been pumping and how much longer I had left to go.

Gemma: This Nuby breast pump makes my life easier as a mum because it collects a large amount of milk in a shorter time. I can get around 90-100ml of milk in around 10-15 minutes which is much quicker than other pumps. It was quite easy to set up initially with not too many separate parts to assemble and easy to follow instructions. It has a 30 minute timer which counts down so that you can keep track of how long you have been expressing which is useful.

What changes would you make to this product?

Rachel Cowell: The only thing I would change about the pump would be for the silicone horn to be a little bit bigger as it's quite small compared to other breast pumps I have used so I don't think it will suit everyone.  It might not be in everyone's price range but in my opinion it is worth every penny!

Jennifer: I honestly think this product ticks all the boxes for those looking to buy an electric breast pump. I honestly cannot think of anything that would make this pump any better! If I had to pick something, then maybe two different flanges would be nice, but the one that came with the pump fitted me perfectly. A great pump – thanks Nuby!

Rachel Carpenter: The only downside to this breast pump in comparison to the other I am using is the number of components which make it up and the fact it does take a little time to take it apart to clean and sterilise (which I do after every use). The only other thing is when the bottle is only partially full it's quite unstable - perhaps a weighted base would hold it more steadily? On the whole though the positives far outweigh the negatives!

Tracy: The only change I would like is if the manufacture could provide a little storage bag with the product to make transportation a little easier. Overall, I was very impressed with this product and I found that my bottle fussy little one took her feed from this bottle very well too! I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends.

Gemma: The breast pump comes with a Nuby bottle which unfortunately my baby did not take to as she is used to a different brand of bottle and my bottles do not attach to the pump. It only means an extra step of transferring the milk into another bottle after pumping so is not a big issue, however perhaps a few more attachments would be nice so that other bottles could be fitted.
