Testing the Tommee Tippee Made for Me Single Manual Breast Pump

Mum Charlotte said: I really liked using a manual pump as you seem to have more control over the pressure on your breast when you first start to express the milk. This one worked well. It was also easy to use and clean. It’s considerably cheaper than the electric versions, so it’s also really good value for money.

Mum Tash said: I found it so much better than an electric pump. I didn't produce a big amount of milk and sometimes trying to get just 2oz from the electric pump was a struggle but with this manual pump, I managed to double the amount. These pumps are really well made and as long as your using the right size flange it will great a good suction. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is struggling with milk coming in or just not producing much.

Tester Claudine said: It's so portable and easy to use, you can take it anywhere, and it feels so soft against your skin. It's small enough that you can easily store it in a diaper bag or backpack, which is perfect for on-the-go mums like me who don't have time to stop and pump every time they're away from home. And if you're using it at work, or just don't want to be interrupted while doing something else.
The soft feel and ergonomic handle make this machine easy to use, and the strong suction makes it easy to express milk quickly.

Mum Sara said: I had high hopes for this item, considering that I've always found their other products and pumps to be excellent. Unfortunately, I just don't feel that this pump is for me. I've tried using it a few times now, and I always feel like I'm doing something wrong! It doesn't matter how I position my breast, it just doesn't seem to get good enough suction to pump any amount of milk. I'm confident that the pump is assembled correctly and that I'm using it right but when I squeeze the handle, even though I can see it working internally, it just feels like nothing is happening! I managed to pump a tiny amount of milk when I had it pressed really firmly into my breast, however it was awkward and uncomfortable to keep it pressed in that position for any amount of time. I don't know whether maybe it's just not the right size/shape for my breasts. Aside from this, it's a good-looking pump and includes a small Closer to Nature bottle (including teat, cap and a flat lid) to pump into and then either feed straight to baby or store in the fridge for later. I would still recommend the product, because I feel maybe it would work better for other women.
