Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Tummy Butter for Stretch Marks

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Tummy Butter for Stretch Marks is a well recognised and used product. It smells delicious – totally indulgent, and leaves skin feeling moisturised. It is quite thick and heavy but is easily absorbed although it does leave skin feeling slightly greasy. The packaging also recommends application three times a day, which is impractical for any mum-to-be.

The product is excellent value for money, considering the tub size, and can be found in almost any supermarket. Highly recommended!

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I love the compact tin/casing it comes in, this makes it easier to take with you anywhere and with the lid tightly sealed over the tin it gives you the confidence that it won't come out unless you open it. The butter is quite solid when you take it out of the tin but with body temperature it melts easily and its lovely to massage into your skin. I love the rich cocoa butter smell.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product doesn't improve my lifestyle as a mum however it’s really easy to apply and it’s a night body cream, when I apply in the evening I love the warm chocolate smell before bed. I have stretch marks across my stomach since using the body butter I have noticed they are now starting to fade, this gives me more confidence.

Would you choose this product to win?

I love the rich butter that's very moisturising on my skin, it's very easy to apply and smells great and I've noticed a difference to my stomach. I have used other stretch mark preventative moisturiser products but this really worked for me. It does exactly what it said on the tin and I am very happy!

What changes would you make to this product?

If I had to have one cristiscim is that it was sometimes difficult to get out of the tin and I had to scrape it out, however once i got it on my hand within a few seconds it nicely warmed up with my body temperature making it easy to apply all over my skin and kept it moistured all night.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend this product to other mums or even people without children who have stretch marks. I love the smell of cocoa butter so for me that was a definite plus. It rubbed on my belly pretty easily and covered very well. I do like the packaging as it's easy to slide into a suitcase or bag if going away anywhere.

How did this product make your life easier?

As a mum of nearly three children I've got a nice collection of stretch marks on my tummy. Which for me isn't a massive problem as my children are worth every stretch mark. But it’s nice to have a product to try and help with them. This product makes me feel it's doing something and the smell after is just a bonus.

Would you choose this product to win?

I have used quite a few different products for stretch marks mainly because I want to stop myself getting any more. But I've found a lot of products can be oily and messy. This product is not oily at all and because it's butter it's a non messy easy to apply and you don't have to worry about drips. And the smell as I keep mentioning is yummy!

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing I can think of about this product that I would maybe want to change is the ease of trying to get it out of the tub. As it's a cocoa butter it's pretty touch to scoop out but once you do it’s easy to apply on to your tummy. The lid can be a bit tricky to do up once you've applied the butter on to the tummy as you have butter hands but that can be fixed by washing hands after use.
