At a glance:

Our panel of mum testers loved the Part-eyes brush applicator and felt that the product did work, making skin feel lighter and brighter – something you’ll definitely need in those early days with a newborn. That said, they thought there needed to be a few more shaded available for all skin tones to make this a five-star product.

What they say:

"When you need to look like you have had eight hours sleep reach for Party-eyes! Our four in one eye serum treatment, smooths your complexion providing brighter radiant skin, whilst reducing dark circles and puffiness in the delicate eye area. By working to nourish and repair your skin, with Party-eyes serum, your skin becomes less stressed and recovers, leaving your skin brighter, firmer, and de-puffed. Sadly, we can't help you get the sleep you need but we can repair and smooth the signs left by lack of sleep."

Would you recommend this to other mums?

If you want something quick that can fit nicely into your regime then this is good, however if you want reduced puffiness and reduced dark circles then this isn't the product for you. The box is nice and the pump makes it easy to use and it has a slight herbal smell.

How did this product make your life easier?

It is easy to use in a skin care regime and takes a bit of extra time, but not so much that it is inconvenient. I found using it for two weeks it did reduce the puffiness of both my eyes and the bags underneath eyes, but what it didn't do was reduce my dark circles unfortunately.

Would you choose this product to win?

I'm not sure I would choose this above others. I think it is quite expensive and doesn't do what it should do really. As a mum, you're generally on a budget and there are other products I think work better and that mean you don't have to use make up to cover dark circles. I also think £21 is quite expensive when it only does part of the job.

What changes would you make to this product?

The packaging looks nice and sleek and would look nice on your dressing table. However, the instructions are on the inside surface of the box which is frustrating, as I only happened to see something on the inside after looking all over for instructions. They should use the outside of the box, or on a leaflet on the inside.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I am not sure I would unreservedly recommend the product to a friend or either to a fellow mum. Whilst the product is very neat and makes make up appear better under the eyes, I did not feel it did any wonders to my skin. I also have sensitive skin and felt that it irritated it somewhat.

How did this product make your life easier?

The product will definitely make many mums’ lives easier, as it is a very easy and accessible piece of make-up that fits in your bag, looks like a pen and does not take up a lot of room. It’s great if you put a couple of drops under each eye and on other areas on your face that you want to highlight.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would be hesitant before choosing this product prior to any other on the market. While it is a good product and definitely designed with being a mother in mind, I did not feel that the price of the product reflected value for money that a mother often wants and also the durability throughout the day.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I had to change one thing, I would ensure that it is suitable for all skin types and tones. When using the product I did wonder how the manufacturers took into account different skin tones when using such a highlighter. It seemed it was made with one tone in mind, which would need to suit everyone.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I was a bit wary of actually using this product as I have sensitive eyes and have had flare ups of allergies caused by various ingredients in the past. However, I was pleasantly surprised as there was no reaction whatsoever, and I noticeably felt lighter rather than my usual heavy, tired eyes. The dark circles under my eyes were also reduced.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product helps to reduce the signs of tired eyes which is a major plus for all new mums (#wearealltired!). The serum comes in a compact container which can easily be carried anywhere. Being a new mum, time is of the essence when rushing to get ready with a baby in tow, but this was easily added into my daily skincare regime as it takes seconds to apply and is readily absorbed.

Would you choose this product to win?

This product was easily added in to my daily skincare regime with quick and simple application. Instructions state to allow it to absorb before applying makeup, but this does not take long. My eyes felt lighter and brighter, as well as more nourished after use. I have used eye serums in the past but have not experienced such immediate and obvious results.

What changes would you make to this product?

When opening the product, I had a look inside for the standard paper instructions on how to use it but there were none. I then realised they are provided on the inside of the packaging, which is good in terms of the environment and saving paper, but is also a bit inconvenient to read.

Tested by mum Kyla Clarke for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this to friends and fellow mums because it's very easy to apply. It is practical for lots of reasons and it fits nicely into my makeup bag. I like that I can pop this on before doing my mascara. The design is very classic, it looks more like a makeup item which I like rather than a skincare product.

How did this product make your life easier?

I think the product is practical, it's easy to use and fits nicely into my bag or makeup bag. It's helpful when you're in a rush in the mornings and need something quick to use. Some eye creams come in big chunky jars so it's helpful this one is light and simple to apply with the brush applicator. Also sits nicely under makeup too.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would use this product. I have found other similar eye products that have a lighter consistency, however, I personally prefer the design and style of this product and I also like the applicator. The design is definitely the best part of this product, as well as the brush applicator which is unusual for an eye care product.

What changes would you make to this product?

This product could be improved if the cream was lighter, as it leaves a slightly sticky residue on the skin after it's been applied. I think a lighter liquid would go on nicely and feel better on the skin. I love the design and applicator though, so that I wouldn't change at all and think it’s very marketable.

Tested by mum Steph Shorter the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this to my fellow friends because I feel it is a good product on the market and is at a reasonable price that is affordable for most. It is compact in your bag and easy to use. I am very happy with this product and will be telling friends and family about it -  a girl’s handbag must have.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes mornings with baby a lot easier. Being a mum, it is very difficult to find time for your own morning routine and to not have that tired look when going out. This product has made me more confident going out as it is so quick and easy to use in the morning and I feel this does the trick. Very pleased!!

Would you choose this product to win?

There are many products like this on the market, all saying they will work, but I have found many don't - no matter how much you spend. This product does work and the affordability is very good. I feel Party-eyes should definitely be a winner of the Mother & Baby awards. Every mum needs this in their life!

What changes would you make to this product?

I love this product and there isn't much I would change. The only thing that would be helpful would be for the packaging to explain how to use it for best results, as it's just guess work. Other than that I'm pleased with the product.
