Lupilu Nappies

Lidl knows the most important things when choosing a nappy are dryness, protection, and comfort. That's why Lupilu Nappies ensure ultimate dryness and leakage protection with a super absorbent core. They're extra soft and flexible with a stretchy waistband. There is no need to pay a premium price for a premium nappy, the prices are low but the quality is high. The nappies are dermatologically tested, latex free, skin-friendly and independently tested. Protecting the environment is also important, therefore the padding used is from sustainably managed forests. The slim design means fewer materials, less packaging and less energy, helping to minimize our carbon footprint.

How did this product make your life easier?

Catherine: The Lupilu Nappies fit well and are easy to do up and stay done up. They are also a nice design to look at. We have had no problems with leaks, even when worn overnight for long periods of time; specifically 12+ hours. Recently our son has been poorly and we have had to closely monitor his urine output, and one thing we have missed with these nappies compared with others is the line/indicator found on other brands of nappies to show you when the baby has passed urine. They are however great value for money which is very helpful when so many baby-related products are incredibly expensive.

Bethany: They are a really good size and fit my baby well. There was no leaking which was very good, even through the night. The nappy performance is as I would expect and my baby seemed happy in them. He didn’t get any nappy rash and can be prone to this.

Gemma: I’ve never used this brand before and I was really impressed. It does everything you need from a nappy and is great value for money saving pennies for days out with the kids!

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Bethany: Yes especially because of the price which is very competitive but it does not compromise on the quality. They fit the bigger babies really well and don't seem too tight around the legs. My only issue is that they don't have much elastic around the waist, with a wriggly baby this made it difficult to get on them on at times.

Catherine: I would definitely recommend Lupilu Nappies to a friend or fellow mum, and would also buy them again myself if I happened to be shopping in Lidl. We like the design and fit, and the baby seems comfortable whilst wearing them. They are quick and easy to put on, which is definitely a bonus when you have a wriggly baby who does not like to stay still for nappy changes! We have had no problems with durability, they remain done up, and the baby has consistently remained dry overnight, which we have found has not always been the case when using other brands of nappies.

Leanne: I would recommend these nappies to all mothers and also buy them myself, they are very affordable, good value for money especially with the high quality of them. The nappies seem nice and thin rather than bulky. My baby and I love the designs on the front of the nappies.

Would you choose this product to win?

Bethany: I think the price and quality make it stand out from other nappies, and despite being a larger size there was no leaking. The design was child friendly and they were not overly bulky to get into a changing bag. I was really impressed with the product.

Gemma: These Lupilu Nappies are great value for money. In my experience, this is a top brand for toddlers as it’s a thin nappy so really comfortable for baby to wear. The straps are lovely and flexible and there was more room around the waistband. There was no irritation to my baby's skin. I had a comfortable happy toddler.

Leanne: If I was shopping in Lidl I would certainly pick these nappies up. I would defiantly buy these nappies when I am in Lidl. I would happily vote these nappies to win.

What changes would you make to this product?

Catherine: If I could change one thing about Lupilu Nappies it would be, as aforementioned, the inclusion of a wetness indicator to enable you to note when the baby has wet the nappy. For example, having a line down the nappy which changes colour when wet would be useful. We find, with other nappy brands, that this is a really useful feature and appreciate its presence. We have found, especially in hot weather, it is so important to ensure the baby is drinking and subsequently peeing enough, and the line would just make it that bit easier to enable that to happen as accurately as possible.

Bethany: I would add some elastic to the tabs which would help with the fitting of these nappies when the baby is wriggling and it did feel like there was not a lot of giving. However, this did not affect the fit on my baby and the leg fitting was a good size and didn’t leave a mark around the skin.

Gemma: Possibly, if used as an overnight nappy for an older child (mine is 21 months.) She tends to be very wet overnight so slightly more absorbency is needed, however, the nappies were comparable and in no way inferior to other brands.
