At a glance:

Lidl knows the most important things when choosing a nappy are dryness, protection and comfort. That's why their nappies now have the magical absorbing tubes to ensure ultimate dryness and leakage protection. There is no need to pay a premium price for a premium nappy with these high-quality but low price nappies from Lidl. They are dermatologically tested, latex free, skin-friendly and independently tested. Protecting the environment is also important, therefore the padding used is from sustainably managed forests. The slim design means fewer materials, less packaging and less energy, helping to minimise the companies carbon footprint.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Sophie: As with any disposable nappy, these are quick, easy to use and convenient especially when out and about. When the nappy was very wet I did find the material next to the tab ripped when I changed the nappy, rather than the tab itself coming away. This was fine as it only happened when I was changing the nappy but it made me feel like the nappy would rip and come undone under clothes if it was very wet and heavy.

Aimee: Disposable nappies are quite expensive. For the price and the job that they do they are brilliant and come highly recommended from me! Hygiene wise they are superb. The internal layers lock in the wetness, to avoid chafing and leakages. Many times my youngest has woken in the night due to a wet nappy but after a week of using these, they haven’t!

Jenna: I would recommend but would say they can be tricky to get on at times but once in they’re great to save the little ones undoing the tabs on regular nappies.

How did this product make your life easier?

Stacey: This nappy is excellent value for money! Our usual nappy boasts a 12-hour dryness and these were just as good! The nappy fitted well thanks to the stretchy waistband. They did not have the typical chemical smell that you can get with a wet nappy. It didn't leak and easily lasted all night long meaning I didn't have to wake my baby to change her during the night. The nappy also quickly absorbs, preventing any skin irritation. The nappies stay in place and don't leak when the little one is on the move!

Sophie: These nappies do the job fine. They are simple to change and easy to use. During the daytime, they are convenient and quick for nappy changes. I found them reliable and kept the contents inside for several hours. Unfortunately, they are less good overnight. They aren't absorbent enough to keep my eight-month-old dry all night.

Aimee: These nappies are FANTASTIC. I was a bit sceptical as my eldest used to get severe nappy rash. We took a chance on these and safe to say we are converted. They are ultra thin, so hardly noticeable when wearing these. They are super absorbent and leak proof. They are made from a soft fleecy material which meant they were comfortable to wear for both day and night for an active baby. Previous nappies tend to feel a bit plasticy and dig in leaving marks around the thighs, but these didn’t.

Would you choose this product to win?

Stacey: There are a few things I really like about these nappies. They are very soft which is good against babies delicate skin. They also feel quite thin, but this doesn't take away from the absorption. They don't leak even after a 12-hour sleep at night. They stay in place despite lots of movement! They don't have any nasty smells when wet, the stretchy waistband allows for a tight fit to help prevent any leaks. The price is an absolute bargain when they are equally as good as some of the well-known brands!

Sophie: I would not choose this product above all others. During the day these nappies were fine. They contained mess easily when they were changed regularly. However, overnight they were not very reliable as they didn’t keep my son dry for more than about 6 hours.

Aimee: After testing these, yes I would. They are a fair price. The material they are made from is the softest on the market. They are most defiantly leak proof. My youngest slept for a solid nine hours and didn’t wake for a change in the night. Upon removing the nappy although it was wet, the internal part didn’t feel wet.

What changes would you make to this product?

Jenna: I wouldn’t change anything I don’t think. I just think they would be better suited to my son once he’s a little older.

Stacey: The only thing I would change is the nappy design. It is quite boyish with blues and greens. It does have little animals on it but it would be better if it had a more neutral colour, maybe yellow. The nappy did look a little ugly when my little girl was wearing a dress! This is only a minor thing. It wouldn't stop me buying the nappies as I think they are great value for money!

Sophie: I would change the material this nappy is made from. This would hopefully increase the absorbency. My son has quite sensitive skin and after a few days of using these nappies he developed a contact rash. It quickly disappeared when I changed back to my usual nappies. I think addressing both of these issues would make this product much more competitive.
