What we say:

This small Italian company make hand-made nappies which are very absorbent and excellent quality, not to mention bright and colourful.

What they say:

“Pocket washable nappy with a triple barrier, double microfiber insert and internal coolpass.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

If any of my mum friends decided to try these nappies, I am sure they would be pleasantly surprised with how easy they are to use. I don’t have much room in my outdoor bin for nappies, so these are great because they reduce your household waste by so much and are so much better for the environment. I have definitely been converted and would recommend these to everyone.

How did this product make your life easier?

This item will save you money in the long run. Disposable nappies can be very expensive, so washable nappies end up cheaper as you re-use them so frequently. Although you pay a little more upfront, life will become so much easier after a while with these nappies, as you won’t constantly be popping out to the shop to stock up, wasting time, money and energy.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, I think this item should win best nappy. It is a lovely product, a pleasure to use, that I know is really helping the environment too. Before this, our bin was completely overflowing with plastic nappies every weekend, now that waste has more than halved!

What changes would you make to this product?

Overall the product is brilliant, the only thing I feel that could be improved is the colour. The colour is very dark and bold. A soft, green or yellow (unisex colour) with little hearts or stars printed on them would look much more child-friendly and would not show through my daughter’s clothes like these bold patterns do.

For a parent looking for re-usable nappies, I would definitely recommend the Sunny Nappies. The overall look of the nappy is great! I loved the designs and the way it would fit any sized tot as it was so flexible. I found that when testing the nappies, they never leaked and my son looked very comfortable wearing them.

How did this product make your life easier?

I do see the benefits of using reusable nappies, but sadly my busy life does not allow for them, so I will continue to use disposables myself. However, the product itself is great, saves you money in the long run and comes with an amazing storage bag which I will be using again.

Would you choose this product to win?

Absolutely. The product looked great, and was comfortable. In the hot weather, my son wore his nappy and t-shirt and it still looked like a piece of clothing! The quality of the product was impeccable.

What changes would you make to this product?

I wouldn’t change anything about the product! It just would have been nice to have had more instructions in the overall package.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend these to a fellow mum that has used reusable nappies in the past. This is the first time I've used this type of nappy and I found it difficult to understand how to make it fit correctly. It took me some trial and error using YouTube videos, but in the end, we got it to fit properly and had no issues at all!

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes life easier as a mum as you will never be caught short or run out of nappies. Also, because they are adjustable and grow with baby, they save a lot more money than buying nappies that end up being too small. I like the fact that one size fits all!

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, I especially like that these are handmade and not mass produced, but are still sold at a competitive price. I am a big fan of handmade items and I think if I was starting out with a newborn again, it would be worth my time and money investing in a batch of these reusable nappies, and would recommend that other mums do the same!

What changes would you make to this product?

There are no proper instructions on how to use the nappy or what the various inserts and liners are for. I had to do all my own research to figure that out, so this could be changed.

I thought the colours and prints on the Sunny reusable nappies were bright, eye catching and fun. They felt good quality, soft and well made. My favourite feature was the leg gussets, which were particularly well designed. Having three separate gussets gave me the extra reassurance that there was not going to be any business coming out the sides. As far as reusable nappies go, I found them easy to use and wash. The product included a wet bag to transport soiled nappies whilst out and about, which was useful.

How did this product make your life easier?

I can see that using reusable nappies could save you money in the long term. Personally, the product didn’t make my life easier in any way, except I was not creating as much rubbish. I would have also appreciated instructions with the nappies. Having never used reusables before, I had to do my own research on how to use them.

Would you choose this product to win?

At around £10 per nappy, this is an excellent contender for the best reusable nappy as others on the market are over £15. For someone who is environmentally conscientious as well, these are a great idea! I think they should win.

What changes would you make to this product?

It would be ideal to have some instructions on how to use and position the inserts in the nappy.
