Testing Childs Farm baby moisturiser

We found the Childs Farm mildly fragranced baby moisturiser very easy to use, we love the pump system as it makes it so much easier to get the moisturiser out of the container compared to a traditional tube with a flip or screw on lid. The pump enabled me to get just the right amount out without worrying about the container being over squeezed or it slipping out of my hands especially when the kids had the moisturiser already on them.

The slimline bottle with pump means there’s not much chance of the bottle tipping over spilling out or taking up too much room in the cupboard. It would be useful to have smaller travel sizes so it would fit in a changing bag easier, at the moment the bottle is a little bit too big to fit in our changing bag so to take it away on our holiday we will be dispensing some into travel containers instead. I like how the childs farm designers have thought about the packaging of this product also added the pump feature over a traditional Squeezy tube which has the tendency to split and leak, the pump feels sturdy and dispenses well without getting clogged.

It made my baby’s skin feel so soft, it’s nice to know the moisturiser has been paediatrician and dermatologist approved. I put some on my son's scalp to help soften his cradle cap and it really helped to loosen the flakes, I have been using the childs farm moisturiser myself as well on the back of my arms where I have really dry rough skin and I am happy to say it has improved and isn’t as dry.

The moisturiser is a lovely consistency and not too thick that is sits on the skin, it rubs in and absorbs quickly. It didn’t leave a greasy or sticky texture, it is the perfect consistency, I hate thick gloopy cream which this isn’t.You can tell they have thought about the ingredients they are using and made the product vegan and cruelty free to a paediatrician and dermatologist approved standard. It's good value for money, you only need a little bit of the lotion and it goes a long way so I feel the product would last longer than cheaper alternatives.

I also appreciate that the bottle is fully recyclable with a wash and squeeze system, so there’s no need to separate parts making it even easier to recycle. I feel more people will recycle this product because of that. I also love it’s been made from 100% recycled ocean bound plastics from rivers and coastal areas and made in the UK. For me there’s been no compromise in quality of the bottle for using recycled plastics, I feel Childs Farm have found the perfect balance here which makes it brilliant value for money.

Overall I’m happy with the product and pleased I got to try this as I will now explore the rest of the range in more detail and it’s also made me aware of the ingredients and processes in products which will influence the way I shop for products in the future. We love that its safe for people with eczema and dry skin so I know it’s completely safe for small babies like ours.

Final thoughts

Overall, there is nothing about the product that I would change, it works exactly as it should do! I am so happy to have found a product that works just as well for all members of our family! If I truly had to say one thing that would make it better it would perhaps be the price, I would likely try to look for it being on offer to purchase it the future, that said a little does seem to go a long way with it.
