How did this product make your life easier?

Sophie said: "It’s helpful having a play mat which is easy to wipe down, you know it’s antibacterial so is one less thing to worry about. I also found the fact you can detach the squares so you can adapt the size to what you want it for. For example I have a couple in my bedroom for when the baby’s playing in there and the others in the living room. One square is also the perfect size to fit under a jumperoo if you want to have a bit of cushioning for their feet if you have it on a tiled floor."

Maria said: "I have a 5-month-old baby who is now exploring the world, she’s rolling and constantly grabbing things. Thanks to the mi-playmat, she has a safe, fun and extra-hygienic surface to play on which has made playtime fun and stress-free. The structure includes a good level of foam and therefore provides a cushioned surface, this is also reassuring as she’ll soon be able to sit unaided, which will of course come with the odd tumble. I really do feel like the mi-playmat is great for babies around this age/development phase."

Laura said: "This playmat has really made a difference to my life with my baby, with having laminate floors at home, and having a 5 to 6-month-old who wants to roll over, this playmat has meant I can let him have more room to do that! The play mat with the road design has excited my partner and now my baby is sitting up. My partner likes to play with cars on the road design which really intrigues my son and keeps him entertained which is a common interest for them. The playmat design is a nice natural colour which makes it fit into any home and not too bright of colours so it looks like part of the home more than if really bright colours and will appeal to more people."

Would you recommend this to other parents?

Sarah said: "The design of the product means it doubles as a play mat and for a car obsessed toddler this is great."

Maria said: "It’s brilliant how the technology provides great peace of mind, however, it’s great to see that the design aesthetics haven’t been compromised as a result. The mat comes with a clever reversible design, both of which fit into my living room perfectly. On one side is a nice grey triangle-themed pattern, on the other side is a lovely sketch of a road. It’s great to have the two options and I know she’ll love to play on the side with toy cars on this side when she’s a little bigger."

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Maria said: "The unique element of this product that really stands out is mi-playmat’s ability to maintain a super hygienic surface. As a parent, you’re constantly worrying about the surfaces the baby is touching, so it’s been really reassuring to know the mat is constantly eliminating any potentially harmful bacteria. What’s more, the technology doesn’t compromise the other elements, like offering a cushioned surface or providing an appealing design."

Sophie said: "The main reason I like this plat mat is because of the antibacterial material, that makes it unique compared to others I’ve looked at. I also liked the design of it, with the traffic scene on one side which my little boy plays on, but when I lift it up and move it to the edge of the lounge at the end of the day the star print is on show which makes it look less like a baby mat."

Sarah said: "Having used various types of 'play mat' this product far exceeds them in quality, it is completely stain proof which is an absolute must with 2 under 2. This has been rigorously tested with Bolognese sauce! The thickness of the mats as opposed to others on the market mean that our toddler can safely use his climber and any falls are painless."

What changes would you make to this product?

Laura said: "The one thing I would change about the mi-playmat is the cost. If I would see this price, even with the really good qualities it would put me off, even just £5 to £10 would sway me to choose this product. However, having seen and used the mat it is value for money!"

Sophie said: "Sometimes when you’re picking up more than one square to move it they can detach from one another very easily so it can sometimes come apart when you don’t want it to. For example you couldn’t pull the mat towards you with a baby on it. So maybe if it was slightly heavier duty this would help? Although the fact it is light does mean it’s easy to move from room to room."

Maria said: "There isn’t much I’d change, however if pushed I would say it would be great if the durability of the surface could be improved. At one point my dog skidded across the mat and this caused a couple of dents in the foam, it’s made me wonder if my girl will be able to dent it with her toys when she’s a bit bigger. However, I wouldn’t want the cushioned surface to become too tough, so the durability would be a ‘nice-to-have’ if possible."
