Cuggl Beech Pushchair

At a glance:

An affordable pushchair for your baby that looks great, our panel of parent testers were amazed at how much you get for your money with the Cuggl Beech Pushchair.

We love the fact your baby can be in a world and forward and parent-facing pram, as well as the fact it has one of the biggest shopping baskets we have seen. You’ll need two hands to fold the pushchair, but this wouldn’t put us off.

What they say:

“With a reversible seat, detachable front bar, reclining backrest, and adjustable footrest and handlebar your little one will have everything they need for a comfortable journey. The extendable hood will shield them from the worst of the weather and the large, elasticated basket lets you carry all their essentials. Linked brakes, a 5-point harness, and front-wheel suspension make this safe as it is smooth. When you're done, it folds easily.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend the Cuggl Beech pushchair because it is so simple to use – everything is just so straightforward. The basket is very big and can easily be accessed from any side of the pushchair. The pushchair can be fold down easily and the seat can be taken off and reattached. The fabrics can easily be wiped down and the pushchair feels super sturdy.

How has this product made your life easier?

The Cuggl Beech is a large pushchair that holds a lot when on the go and the basket is larger than average. It looks much more expensive than it actually is and can be manoeuvred easily. I also love that the seat can be world or parent facing, giving you the option to customise the pushchair as your baby grows.

Would you choose this product to win?

The Cuggl Beech is a large and sturdy pushchair, with a good hood that has a lovely flap for ventilation and checking on your little one on the go. The child bar is nicely padded and all of the fabrics can easily be wiped down.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would make the rear wheels a little narrower, as they currently make the pushchair very wide. I would also add rear suspension as it currently only has suspension at the front.

Tested by mum Roxy Dougall for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend the Cuggl Beech as it is a strong pushchair that holds a lot, whilst being simple to use and looking stylish. It folds easily with two hands and feels relatively comfortable. Forget the gimmicks – this is a simple, decent pushchair at a very reasonable price!

How has this product made your life easier?

The Cuggle Beech is super easy to use, and I love the fact the seat can either be world facing or parent facing. The hood provides a good range of cover and the basket is large, so will carry everything you need for a day out with your tot.

Would you choose this product to win?

I definitely think this pushchair should be a contender for the first place as it is a versatile, strong pushchair. The fact that the seat can be both forward and world facing is a great feature. You get an awful lot for your money and I have been really impressed.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would change the seat so that it has more padding and I would increase the number of recline positions. I also found the handle wobbled when used, so I would make the fittings tighter.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend the Cuggl Beech pushchair because you get a lot of features for your money. It feels well-built and strong, it’s easy to fold and the fabric can easily be wiped down. The basket feels strong and is much larger than most and the break is easy to lock and unlock.

How has this product made your life easier?

The Cuggl Beech pushchair is a great, low cost pushchair with features that are similar to others that are sold at a much higher price point. The fact that the seat can face both ways is great and the basket is really big. It is also easy to fold down, although two hands are needed to do so.

Would you choose this product to win?

The Cuggl Beech pushchair is a brilliant price, meaning you get an awful lot for your money. The basket is huge and carries a lot of shopping and the seat can easily be removed and rotated. Overall, the pushchair feels very strong and sturdy, so I do think it is worthy of a Mother & Baby award.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would change the fold so that it can be collapsed with one hand. I would also make the pushchair more compact, as it takes up a lot of space when folded as the wheels are rather wide set. I also found the handle wasn’t very tight and wobbled when used.

Tested by mum Jemma Ramesh for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The Cuggl Beech is amazingly priced compared to other pushchairs with the same features which is amazing for mums on a budget. The Beech has a nicely padded handle bar that is adjustable on a pivot and a basket with a large capacity. It also feels really robust and made to last.

How has this product made your life easier?

The Cuggl Beech has a larger than average basket, which makes my life easier as I do not have to pack light and means I can go shopping without hanging bags from the handle bar. The break is also really easy to use compared to others on the market, with a bar all along the rear axle.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would definitely choose this product to win a Mother & Baby award as you get a great deal of features for your money. The Cuggl Beech is stylish and robust, with a decent-sized seat and shopping basket. The breaks are also easy to use and the pushchair is a joy to steer.

What changes would you make to this product?

This is a difficult question to answer, but I think the main thing I would change would be to make the seat taller so that my child would fit in it for longer.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend the Cuggl Beech pushchair because it’s such good value for money. It is easily folded down with two hands, it is well designed and built to last. The seat doesn’t recline very much and the seat isn’t as large as I would like, but this wouldn’t put me off. The fabric is strong and can easily be wiped down.

How has this product made your life easier?

The Cuggl Beech is a powerhouse! It is strong and feels as though it will last a long time and it has the biggest basket I have seen of a pushchair like this which is a huge positive. These two things really do help make my life easier!

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose the Cuggl Beech above all others on the market because it is so affordable. Also, the fact that the seat can be parent or world facing is a big plus, as is the huge shopping basket!

What changes would you make to this product?

I would really love the seat to be more padded and be able to recline further. It would also be vastly improved with a different folding mechanism that could be operated with one hand.
