2014 – Shortlisted for 'Best Pushchair' Award!

The Mamas & Papas Urbo Pushchair is stylish, lightweight and easy to push. It’s comfortable and the UPF 50 sun-shade is nice and big. It folds easily and is neat and tidy – wide but flat and compact.

The handles are adjustable although the criss-cross leather stitching is slightly annoying. The recline feature lies all the way back and the magnetic fastener for keeping the sun/rain canopy in place is great. The pushchair offers plenty of storage space and the 5-point harness is strong and the clips are easy to use.

The suspension is not great – the pushchair is sensitive to the lumps and bumps on the road; probably better suited to city living than rough country terrain. Ideal for scooting about town – pricy but good value.

Review

This uber-stylish pushchair that will certainly draw admiring glances about town. It is nicely compact, a reasonable weight and has a reversible seat to add flexibility. However, parents of newborns might need to invest in the baby cocoon (£59) to make it cosier for a tiny one.

This is a lovely pushchair with a high-quality finish that’s perfect for everyday use. It also comes in a range of gorgeous colours. It is the most compact of those prams tested and it was refreshingly simple, from pushing it to adjusting and folding it. It is light and small and ideal for the car boot.

The fact that some older babies will love it because they can see out easily also means they are less likely to nap well in it and it is not as cosy for newborns. You would also need to spend extra to buy the carrycot to make it truly suitable from birth and there is no footmuff or baby nest. Excellent for older babies though, eye-catching and comfortable.
