A roomy and sturdy model that can be customised and comes with lots of accessories. Loads of storage space and a cosy carrycot that can be used for occasional overnight use are two big plus points. It’s heavy though and tricky to assemble but offers mums a solid and versatile choice.

The Movix can be customised and comes with a bundle of accessories thrown in, including a fold-down carrycot, changing bag and mat, raincovers and a footmuff. The pushchair seat and carrycot are roomy, the step-on pedal brake is a great feature and there is loads of storage space with a generous shopping basket. The carrycot folds down which is handy but you have to remove the pushchair seat unit from the chassis to fold that.

The carrycot also has a waterproof mattress, with a soft quilted liner, your baby can use it for occasional overnight sleeping, too. At 13.2kg, the Movix is not light and can be hard to assemble and tricky to remove the carrycot and seat. It does feel sturdy and easy to push, though, because of the large air filled wheels. You can make a travel system with a Maxi Cosi Pebble carseat (£160), which you don’t need to buy special adaptors for.
