Testing the Nipper Double

Having a pushchair that's lightweight and easy to use is very important, but becomes even more crucial when you're pushing two! Testers agreed that the Nipper Double was easy to manoeuvre and praised its compact size, for a double buggy:

"This pushchair is lovely and lightweight, making it easy to maneuver on different surfaces with my baby and 3-year-old in it. It was very easy to assemble, only taking 5 minutes and comes with clear instructions. The Nipper Double has been very intelligently built. It is very spacious but doesn’t look cumbersome. It easily fits through the doorways I’ve used so far. My 3-year-old daughter comfortably fits in this pushchair with room to spare."

The big wheels mean a comfortable ride for little ones, and the variety of colours mean you can choose a style to suit you. The seat pads are also removable so they can be washed.

"I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to put the seat pads on and off for easy washing/cleaning. I like that it is easy to adjust the height of the chair to whatever little person requests!

"My two-year-old enjoyed the foot rest and thought this was a nice feature rather than feet just hanging. I also was pleasantly surprised by all the bits which are included with the pram including a bumper bar for the children to hold onto and a waterproof cover. Great that this pram can be used from birth to 4 years old meaning you only need one and not lots of additional pieces."

When comparing the Nipper Double to other brands, this tester said: "I'm actually obsessed with this pram. I have two young children and I'm a non driver and it's actually opened up what I can do significantly. I have had a double buggy previously and it was heavy, clunky and not very easy to open or close and not cheap so I'd just accepted that with two children it was going to be the case that it's much harder to get around. Then I started using the Nipper Double and it is really fantastic. It's so light the thought has actually crossed my mind that I could go running with this pram (and my children are big for their ages so that is saying something!) It has certainly allowed me to take much longer trips without stress or feeling like I have had an all body workout. It also tackles rough terrains easily. It stores away easily because it closes extremely flat so doesnt take up as much room as my previous double buggy. It's also very easy to open (and close but especially to open)."

Final verdict

Some reviewers did mention that although the Nipper Double folds flat, it's still a large item to fit in the boot. It was also suggested that the peekaboo hood could be fixed with magnets rather than velcro - as it sometimes woke baby up. The lack of a basket under the buggy was also commented on, which some parents would have preferred. However overall, testers were impressed.
