At a glance:

The responsive springs in this mattress encased in individual pockets provide the perfect support, whilst the outer cover offers a soft breathable sleeping surface which allows the free flow of air, keeping baby cool and regulating their heat. This sleeping surface is washable at 60oc, killing all germs and bacteria, and benefits from the anti-allergy Actipro treatment, making the mattress ideal for allergy sufferers. The core of the mattress is protected from the inevitable accidents by a waterproof, wipeable PVC cover.

How did this product make your life easier?

Vicky: This mattress is of really good quality and appears to be very comfortable. It has allowed my.daughter to settle more easily on her own in her own bed. The washable cover makes it an easy job if there are any accidents. I love the soft-touch design of the mattress and the depth provides good cushioning in the cot whilst being supportive at the same time.

Nikita: The mattress having a waterproof cover makes life so much easier. Any spills or leaks that happen on the mattress mean it doesn't seep through leaving any stains or harbouring any smells. It also makes life easier cleaning it during the middle of the night. Its breathable material which puts my mind at ease knowing my baby is sleeping safely.

Nicola: This product makes my life easier as a mum as it is such a comfortable mattress and my little girl sleeps amazingly since using it. Having the cover that not only is washable but can also be tumble-dried on a low heat makes life so much easier knowing if an accident happens, you can have it washed and dried before bedtime.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Lauren: The mattress is specially designed to be breathable and keep cool to avoid little ones overheating, which as it can be a contributory factor to SIDS is a number one priority for many parents. The first day I used this mattress was the hottest day of the year and I was impressed by how cool it felt to touch. It is clearly made of excellent quality materials and also features a non-chemical anti-allergy treatment, which is especially important for little ones with sensitive skin.

Sarah: I would recommend the luxury pocket sprung mattress to a friend or fellow mum because it's a really comfortable mattress and is of good quality. It fits really well in the cot and the baby enjoys sleeping on it. It makes the bedtime routine go a lot easier and quicker because the baby settles quicker when put down.

Paige: The main reason I would recommend this product to others is because of the mattress protecting the topper that zips off to reveal a waterproof layer that can be wiped down in case of little accidents. This also means you don't have to pay out for an additional mattress protector as it is already built-in making it more cost-effective. The cover can then be washed at 60 to kill any bacteria which is definitely reassuring to know the surface is clean. The design of the mattress is simple but effective and the fabric feels lovely and soft to touch.

Would you choose this product to win?

Laura: I believe this product should win based on the overall quality of the mattress, specifically, the comfortable cushioned top should allow for a good night's sleep and the practical washable cover will be useful during potty training! The mattress is nice and firm and my daughter seems very comfortable with it.

Poppy: I would definitely choose this product for its excellent hygiene and design. The fact that it is waterproof yet breathable gives me comfort on the nights by baby decides to roll over and sleep on her front! The inbuilt waterproof cover is an excellent design feature that makes the mattress both more hygienic, easier to use and easier to wash that a regular separate mattress and protector arrangement.

Anum: This mattress is definitely a front runner! Certainly one of the best we have used for our children. The quality is excellent and it appears extremely comfortable, which is probably attributable to the individual pocket springs surrounded by an outer cover which is soft and breathable. It also has anti-allergenic properties, a waterproof PVC cover overlying the core mattress, and a washable sleeping surface.

What changes would you make to this product?

Najah: There is not much that I can say as it is a simple enough product and does what it says on the tin. I’m not sure if it is available in different sizes as I have a smaller cot for my son so I guess it would be useful for that. Otherwise, if it could have a clear label as to which size goes up would also be useful. The packaging could be a little better however that would be nitpicking.

Nikita: Honestly I can not think of one thing that could be changed or improved about this product. I really struggled with finding a fault with this product or even something to improve to make babies sleep any better. 10/10 for this product you guys have clearly done a great job with research and have made a fantastic product.

Nicola: I wouldn’t change anything about this mattress. It is everything I could ask for in a mattress, and also reading about how it has been made, it seems as though they have really taken into consideration everything that I would have wanted. With it being made with fire-resistant fibre and chemicals to having a cover on the mattress that you can remove on 60-degree wash and, that you can tumble dry, as well as it being very comfortable, I cannot fault it at all!! Very happy mummy and very happy well slept, baby.
