At a glance:

The Groswaddle looks and feels beautiful and has been desgined by The Gro Company to make swaddling simple. Our mums loved the material and the design, and how easy it was to swaddle even the most wriggly baby, yet wished it had slots to make it easier to wrap their baby in their car seat or pushchair.

What they say:

“The International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) acknowledges the Groswaddle as a ‘hip-healthy’ product when used as directed. The soft, stretchy cotton will wrap round your newborn comfortably and easily with no need for complicated fastening. The Groswaddle creates the perfect environment for naps or night-time. When your baby is ready to self soothe you can swaddle them with arms out making swaddling an ideal first step before moving into Grobag Baby Sleep Bags.”

Why do you think this product is so different to anything else on the market?

It is a really nice lightweight material, but is really cleverly designed so that baby is comfortably swaddled without overheating. It also comes in lots of nice designs to suit various nursery themes. It feels very good quality and it also washes very well. I've washed it a few times and it still looks brand new – as all mums will know, this is a great selling point with unpredictable babies!

Why does it change your life with your baby?

It helps my baby sleep through the night by giving them the feeling of being swaddled. It also helps give me peace of mind as a parent, as it's unlikely that they can get lost under the blanket and so I feel much calmer about leaving my baby in bed and get on with jobs around the house.

What excites you about this product?

It is very well made, has a really good design and is made from really high-quality fabric. I think it is a fair price too and easily available in main retailers, I've seen it in Mothercare and Babies R Us. The Gro Company always have such nice branding – I loved the appealing looking packaging and thought it was clever how it was the shape of the product. It also makes it an ideal gift. I love this product so much and because it's so fairly priced, I have bought another two or three, to enable me to always have one on the go and one in the wash.

What one thing would you change about this product?

I think it works very well as it is, but one change I'd find useful would be to put slots in it so that baby can be wrapped up nicely in the pushchair or car seat. Babies kick their blankets off a lot which is worrying when they're in the car seat as I worry it will go over his face, so extra slots would be great.

Why do you think this product is so different to anything else on the market?

I feel that this product has been designed very well. This Groswaddle makes it easier to swaddle your little one a lot quicker than fiddling around with a blanket. The Groswaddle is a very soft material which doesn’t irritate my baby’s skin which is a big plus. My son suffers quite badly with eczema and has very sensitive skin, but this did not irritate him in the slightest and he seemed very comfortably swaddled in it. I would highly recommend this product.

Why does it change your life with your baby?

This product changed my life with my baby as there was no more struggling to swaddle my little one in a blanket and it put an end to my constant fretting that he would be able to get out of the swaddle. This Groswaddle works perfectly and is very easy to use with clear instructions.

What excites you about this product?

The exciting thing about this product is that I can get different designs and different sizes to suit my little one, so I can carry on using the Groswaddle when he grows out of this one. It’s a great idea and reassuring to know I can just purchase the next size up.

What one thing would you change about this product?

If I’m being honest, I wouldn’t change anything about this product – I couldn’t fault it at all and my baby was very happy when using it. A big thank you to The Gro Company!

Why do you think this product is so different to anything else on the market?

The product is different to anything else on the market, as it combines a swaddle and a Grobag in one which is previously unavailable. This is useful for those (like me) that can't get the hang of swaddling using either special swaddle blankets, or regular blankets. This also takes the worry out of having to use blankets when my baby is too small to go in a regular Grobag.

Why does it change your life with your baby?

It makes it much easier to swaddle my baby without having to battle with a blanket. My baby is also an escape artist and will try to wiggle out of a swaddle at any given opportunity, so this product is perfect, especially as I am not somebody who is particularly talented in the art of swaddling!

What excites you about this product?

I find this product exciting as it makes it easier to swaddle a baby, especially as my skills are lacking in that department. I found the product especially useful after my baby had his first vaccinations – nothing would settle him apart from this!

What one thing would you change about this product?

The thing that I would change would be to possibly have the swaddle section close through Velcro, or something similar. The other thing that I would change would be to make the section on the bag bit a little higher on the front. My child is a Houdini and could wriggle out of it relatively quickly if he chose too.
