At a glance:

Designed to keep babies and other swimmers safe in the pool, this reusable swim nappy is made from super soft neoprene and is shaped into two back pieces, which cup the baby’s bottom. These are held securely in place by a gusset, whilst specialist waist and leg fabric grips comfortably, yet snugly, to your child’s body. Splash About have created this ergonomically form-fitting nappy to be secure yet comfortable no matter how hard they play and kick in the water.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Amy: I would recommend this product because I have used it a lot of times and never had any leaks. It is comfortable for my child and looks super cute. The design means that drying time is really quick which is really handy! The fit is perfect and it is easy to get it on and off the baby which is important when you are rushing.

Leah: I would recommend this product to other mums as they are soft for your baby. They are thin and easy to fit in your bag. You save money as it's reusable and as a bonus, it helps the environment. The designs are also bright and child-like so look great in photos! Who wouldn't want to use a well-designed swim nappy that almost guarantees no embarrassing moments!

Leanne: We found the nappy really easy to put on and pull off. The material is very flexible so our baby had no problem kicking about in the water and seemed comfortable. The nappy is very lightweight and easy to pack. The material did not rub or caused any redness to our babies skin. We especially loved the different designs and bright colours. The material and stitching were great quality and I think it would last multiple uses and babies. It was easy to wash and it didn’t seem to deteriorate over time.

How did this product make your life easier?

Gail: I took the splash about nappy on holiday to and I found it was brilliant. Having the nappy and the liners took up so much less space in the cases than if we had taken swim nappies. I loved the design and was impressed with the amount of choice there was. My son is six-months-old and got the 6-12month size which was just right.

Leanne: This product makes life easier as the nappy is tight on the waist and legs which ensures there are no accidents. It does leave little red marks but goes very quickly, he doesn’t seem restricted or moan when I put the happy nappy on. He doesn’t try and get it off which tells me he is comfortable in it and that is one of the most important things for me. Even though the nappy is tight it isn’t too difficult to put on and take off the baby.

Lisa: We’ve kept it in our swim bag with all the other bathers and swimming costumes. This is much easier than swim nappies as we know we always have an all-in-one product to prevent accidents. I would think that after a few months of regular swimming sessions that the Happy Nappy would also be more cost-effective than the standard packs of swimming nappies too.

Would you choose this product to win?

Ashleigh: We choose to buy this product above all others on the market firstly because of the various designs. Other brands are boring or plain. We have had sharks, whales and boats on his previous pairs and everyone at his swimming class comments on them. We had considered reusable swim nappies instead of the happy nappy that would go over non-reusable nappies but now we are aware of the nappy wrap and liners we will continue with these.

Laura: The choice of patterns for the swim nappy are really good. This makes the outer nappy very pretty. This coupled with the very good usability would make me choose this product. The design of the outer nappy, which is made from a wetsuit neoprene material, means that it fits snugly around my daughter’s tummy and legs and prevents leaks getting into the pool.

Rebecca: I would choose the Splash About Happy Nappy over others on the market as its the best version on the product that I have seen. It not only comes in a variety of sizes, colours and designs but it is widely available online and in shops which makes it easy to get. The quality of the product is really good. It has been in and out of chlorine pool water, the sea and lakes over the last month and has been used really regally and still looks like new.

What changes would you make to this product?

Zoe: There isn't anything I would change about this product. They have a lot of designs and colours and the sizing of the nappies suit a range of ages for the babies/toddlers. The fabric is soft so there is no irritation on my baby's skin. They are easy to get on and off whilst wet. They wash well so I wouldn't change anything about them.

Amy: I don’t really have anything to complain about with this product. I really do love it and use it all the time. It’s a bonus that it is accepted by the swimming school we go to as a safe nappy system. I might add a little drawstring or something at the top to increase how long you can use it for. I am not sure how this would work with leaks though.

Leah: There isn't really anything I would change about this product. Obviously, if it was looser then it would be easier and faster to put on wriggling babies and children but I understand the product needs to be tight for it to work properly. The only thing that would improve the product is adding even more designs.
