At a glance:

Not only are these Childs Farm products reasonable, they are packed with natural ingredients and the bright and colourful packaging is beautiful. Our panel of mum testers loved these products, claiming that the moisturiser kept even the most aggressive eczema away.

What they say:

“Childs Farm is an award winning British brand that uses natural ‘free-from’ ingredients and essential oils to produce mild, kind and delicious smelling toiletries that care for the skin and hair of newborns, babies and children. All young skin and hair is precious, and needs proactive care from specifically designed products. Here at Childs Farm, this is so important to us that we undergo clinical tests and user trials to certify that everything we make is dermatologically tested and approved, and paediatrician approved, as suitable for newborns and upwards – including those with sensitive and eczema-prone skin.”

Tested by mum Harriet Poulton for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend this range of toiletries to other mums! It leaves my baby's skin and hair so soft and the scented wash and shampoos smell divine. I really like the moisturiser it has worked wonders on a patch of dry skin my now five-month-old has had on her leg since birth, it's now pretty much disappeared. All the range is suitable from newborn so you don't need to worry about anything harsh that might irritate baby's skin.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes my life easier because the whole range is suitable from newborn so I don't need to worry about any of it being too harsh. It contains Argan oil which leaves my little one's skin and hair lovely and soft. The shampoo really helped clear up my baby's cradle cap too, which was so helpful as I didn't need to buy any other special shampoo. There are some lovely mini sets available too which has made life so much easier when packing to go on holiday or even just to chuck in the changing bag to go swimming.

Would you choose this product to win?

These products are just fabulous! It's such an amazing range with products to suit everyone – I’ve even used some of it myself. The shampoo has cleared my baby's cradle cap and the moisturiser has made my baby's dry skin vanish. Truly wonderful products that I will continue to buy.

What changes would you make to this product?

I wouldn't change a thing about any of the Childs Farm products, they are amazing! I would like it if they expanded their range with some more scent options.

Tested by mum Kirsty Fee for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

All the products smell gorgeous and come in really nice packaging. I love the fact that they are suitable for sensitive skin and there's such a wide range to choose from. I have bought the miniature sets for a couple of friends and have recommended the nappy cream to them too. My daughter loves the bubbles from the bubble bath and the 3-in-1 swim is amazing, it makes life so much easier after her weekly swim lesson. The packaging is strong and I don't feel like the bottles would easily break or spill.

How did this product make your life easier?

I love all the products I got sent to test and I will definitely be carrying on using them. The suncream and nappy cream I especially love. They both make my life so much easier as they are perfect for my daughter’s sensitive skin and I know I don't have to worry about her having any reactions. Nappy changes are much quicker now that I don't have to struggle to get the cream out of the tube if it's a bit cold, which is what was happening when I was using Bepanthem.

Would you choose this product to win?

I definitely think this product should win a Mother & Baby award as there's such a wide rage to choose from and all within a really good price range. They look much more expensive than they are. They are sold in high street stores and also available online so are easy to get hold of. I would choose the products over others as they are suitable for sensitive skin and use the majority of naturally derived ingredients. I am also against animal testing and love that they are never tested on animals.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing that I would change is the suncream – it is very hard to rub in and my daughter ends up looking really white. It's good that I can see if I've missed anywhere but it's not great when my little girl hates having it applied anyway and then it takes me even longer as I have to put on quite a lot of pressure to rub it in too. I will carry on using it though as it suits her skin and has always protected her from the sun.

Tested by mum Chrissie Belger for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend to my mummy friends as a few of my friends’ children suffer with eczema and what they have used in the past hasn't worked, but this stuff is amazing and it is also kind to baby's skin. The design on the bottle makes bath time more fun for small children as it's very colourful.

How did this product make your life easier?

I wouldn't say it makes my life any easier than any other product I have used, but the design is well thought out and it's very appealing to the eye. It's fantastic for babies and young children and the design makes bath time more fun I think. My children absolutely love it and it smells really good, I would definitely consider buying more.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would definitely chose this product over other brands I've used before as sometimes my baby's skin can feel quite dry so it helps put the moisture back in. I think it should win as eczema is very common especially in children and I think it would be beneficial to babies and young children that do suffer with the condition.

What changes would you make to this product?

I don't think I would change anything about this product, it's a child friendly design, fun colours, great for dry or eczema prone skin and it smells incredible. There are different varieties of this brand to choose from and I would definitely recommend it to my mummy friends. If there's one thing I would improve it is the quantity in the product, but other than that I think it's brilliant.

Tested by mum Charlotte White for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Since using the products I have done nothing but recommend them! The baby moisturiser in particular is my favourite, I love the subtle (but still amazing) smell and that it’s not too heavy or greasy on my daughter’s skin. We also love the smells of the bubble baths and that they seem to last a very long time.

How did this product make your life easier?

The toiletries from Childs Farm make life easier as a mum because they are all gentle on my daughter’s skin, even the ones that aren't specifically for babies. It's good to find a baby product where a little does go a really long way and they still smell amazing. Before using the Childs Farm baby moisturiser, I had chosen not to use this type of product because all others made my daughter feel too greasy; this is not the case with the Childs Farm baby moisturiser – it is exactly what we needed!

Would you choose this product to win?

In regards to the baby moisturiser, yes, I would choose this product over others on the market. The fact that it comes in a pump bottle is really handy particularly when you have a wriggly baby who isn't happy about getting out of the bath! Compared to other moisturisers this is very light and not greasy.

What changes would you make to this product?

In regards to the pump bottles, we found these a little difficult to get the pump up to begin with and they felt like they were going to break rather than open. I also feel the travel size toiletries would be better if they had different products, I feel like if the hair detangler was swapped with a mini sun cream it would be more useful.

Tested by mum Laura Cooper for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend this range of products to other mums. They smell lovely and leave the skin feeling well hydrated, whilst not feeling heavy or greasy. They come in handy little travel packs which would be great for taking on a flight and are under the regulated 100ml rule. The designs of the bottle are also child friendly which is lovely.

How did this product make your life easier?

My son Brodie has been diagnosed with eczema, but since using these products his skin has only flared up once and is really kept under control. We take the moisturiser in the travel size out with us every day to sooth his skin, which is great as most are too big to take in a changing bag. The suncreams are also great as they are nice and thick so you can ensure all their skin is covered.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose these products over others on the market due the fact they are all very good value for money. They are natural ingredients and do not have lots of chemicals like other products do. The fact it's kept my sons eczema under control makes this product stand out over all others for me.

What changes would you make to this product?

I don't feel I would change anything else about this product! The only thing I would mention is I have been struggling to buy the baby moisturiser in any shops due to it being sold out.

Tested by mum Lowena Rich for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Yes. All of the products are safe for babies and seem very good on my daughter's skin which is quite sensitive (and can get dry). The packaging is nice and there is a great range of different products. I especially like the swim wash as it's so useful to only have to take one product to the pool. My daughter seems to love the smell.

How did this product make your life easier?

It's great to have nice products that are also free of parabens and other nasties. It can be hard to find them - especially ones that appeal to my daughter too, and that can make such a difference to how well washing her hair goes! The smaller versions are the perfect size for taking to the swimming pool or away on trips.

Would you choose this product to win?

I'm torn with this question. I love the principle behind the products and it's wonderful to have something safe for my daughter, but I find the smell of the products quite overwhelming. They're a bit on the sickly side. Some are better than others, but I'd prefer to have something that smelled more natural.

What changes would you make to this product?

I think it would have to be the smell. It's just quite overpowering. I guess it appeals to older kids, and my daughter doesn't seem to mind it, but I'm not sure I really like her hair smelling quite so fruity! It would be nice to have something a little more natural smelling. On the other hand, the suncream smells lovely!

Tested by mum Sophie Taylor for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend this range of toddlers bath and hair products to a friend. The fragrances of the range are scrummy. The hair and body wash made my daughter's skin really soft and her hair beautifully shiny with no tangles. The bottles are a good size with a no drip top that is also tricky for little ones to open.

How did this product make your life easier?

This range of toddler bath and hair care products are good for sensitive skin and ezcema which means that I don't have to worry about the impact on my daughter's skin. The range also comes in a handy travel pack which means that when we are away I can ensure my daughter's skin and hair gets the same gentle treatment.

Would you choose this product to win?

Having never really explored alternative bath and hair care products it was refreshing to get to something new to try that has already thought about the concerns I would have when switching brand. The range is well designed and smells great leaving skin beautifully soft and hair shiny and tangle free. I'd never seen this brand in retailers, but having used it I would definitely look out for this the next time I need to buy bubble bath, wash or shampoo.

What changes would you make to this product?

I can't think of anything that I would like to change about this product range, they have seem to have thought of everything. The only thing that I would look for additionally is something that would encourage my daughter to want to have her hair washed. Maybe if there was something interactive that could keep her occupied and distracted while I washed her hair.

Tested by mum Laura Thomson for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The products are lovely they are all really great quality and all smell amazing. I really like how every product in the range is made for sensitive skin and even children with eczema are able to use them. There is a great range to choose from. The shampoo and conditioner left my little boys hair so soft and the detangling spray was brilliant as he has extremely curly hair and often even after a wash still manages to get tangled, I also used this on his dry hair and it worked really well.

How did this product make your life easier?

Bath time can sometimes be a bit of a struggle as my little boy hates washing his hair but he really enjoyed smelling the shampoo and conditioner and the design on the bottle distracted him while I was washing it out. I love the 3 in 1 swim wash this was brilliant, the current product we use for after swimming doesn't really clean hair very well and also I don't feel gets the chlorine smell off but this one is fantastic! Really lathers up on both skin and hair, smells good enough to eat.

Would you choose this product to win?

The only thing that would put me off choosing this product is possibly the price. The product is amazing and I think that you do get your monies worth but my personal opinion is that if I was out to buy some shampoo/conditioner etc. for my toddler I'm not sure if I would spend this much as it would quickly add up.

Tested by mum Sarah Baker for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Yes I would recommend these products to others. We all love the fruity scents, they make them more fun to use and my children loved to smell them. We also loved the amount of bubbles they created with very little product being used, adding to their value for money but also fun factor with children. From a parents point of view I also like the fact that they are hypoallergenic and are fine to use on excema probe skin. The travel size is also perfect for when away or for keeping in a swim bag.

How did this product make your life easier?

Because they are hypoallergic and are safe for sensation and excema probe skin it means I can confidently use them with both my children without having to worry about potential reactions. I also like the fact that they are produced using natural products, so again I can be confident that I am not putting potentially unpleasant chemicals on to my little one's delicate skin. With the fun designs and fruity scents it is also easier to convince my children to use them as they find them fun as well.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes. They work well but also have the added bonus of smelling lovely and being produced with natural products and extracts and not packed with potentially unpleasant chemicals. My daughter really enjoyed the detangling spray which not only left her hair smell nice, but also worked well to get knots out of her hair without the usual tears. I also found the swim conditioner, shampoo and body wash all in one very useful as it made a shower after swim lessons quicker and easier

Tested by mum Emma Burton for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

There are so many different types of products it was great. We loved the bubble bath, hair and body wash, 3 in 1 swim wash and the moisturiser the best. My little one has super sensitive and dry skin so I am always on the look out for sensitive/eczema prone skin. The bubble bath produced loads of bubbles, the hair and body wash and the swim 3 in 1 was great at cleaning but not drying the skin and the moisturiser really helped soften, plus they smell amazing!

How did this product make your life easier?

All the products left my little one's skin feeling great. There was no dryness and the smell was amazing. I don't have to worry about a reaction, and my little one can sit and play in the bath for as long as she likes. The variety of products is great, you don't always have to use a bubble bath or a shampoo etc. The travel bottle are great too, added extra on the go!

Would you choose this product to win?

We really loved these products in our house. Mainly for the variety, you can mix it up to your needs. The products themselves are great, they all smell great and the fact that there are travel options too means you can take it all on the go. The design of the product is very child friendly too with the farm animal, we were constantly talking about what was on each bottle label!

What changes would you make to this product?

The caps could be quite fiddly, I don't know if a pump would be better - especially with the moisturiser. When trying to moisturise a moving toddler being able get the cream using one hand rather than turning the bottle upside down and squeezing etc would be helpful.

Tested by mum Genevieve Tucker for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this to another mum or a friend as I really really liked these products. I was very surprised at the choice and range of different types of lotions and potions that arrived, each was a big hit! The fact they are ok for eczema etc is ideal as my children have sensitive skin as do alot of children nowadays.

How did this product make your life easier?

My kids loved the amount of bubbles the bubble bath produced and couldn't wait to clamber in the bath each night to find out which mouthwatering smell their bath emitted, thus making bath times a lot more fun and in turn easier for me. Loved the travel sized packs - great for taking away and the zippy bags are useful after the products are used.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes I would choose these over other products as not only did I like the products, I loved the really lovely designs that where fun and eye catching - the children loved all the different designs, animals etc and colours. They didn't grumble about hairwash time with these. Also the fact they are organic is a great point!

What changes would you make to this product?

I find it hard to criticise these as I really did enjoy all the products and testing them on my little ones, at a push maybe making them in bigger sizes for the bubble baths, shampoos etc would make them more value for money and saves a mum from one less thing on the shopping list each week if they came in bigger bottles.

Tested by mum Sarah Walton for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The product range is great with something for everyone. The packaging is appealing for little people and their grown ups! All of the products smelled delicious and were quite unique in the mix of scents. They are easy to use and appear to be delicate for little one's skin and any sensitivities. Great all round.

How did this product make your life easier?

We loved the handy travel sized products available which included sun cream and after sun. This made life easier when taking products out and about for the day or on holidays rather than having to carry around full sized products. The hair and body wash is a great convenient product as saves needing to use separate body wash and shampoo - anything to save time is always a bonus.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing I would note to change is the price as at around £3.99 per product this is costly I feel compared to other body wash products as an example. The quality and scents were great though with a really good range of products available so the actual product I would recommend no changes, they are great as they are!

Tested by mum Sarah Cartin for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The Childs Farm range is fantastic. I love the organic ingredients, the fabulous fragrances and the wide range available. The packaging is really cute and appealing to both children and adults. The bottles are easy to open and close and the product is simple to dispense and use. They also do a travel range which come in handy size bottles for your suitcase.

How did this product make your life easier?

Most little ones are reluctant to have their hair asked but these products really do make it easier. With the fun, appealing bottle designs my little one got excited to use the shampoo, then the conditioner. They helped with the body wash but their favourite part was making the bubbles. The products all smell so delicious that this encouraged my little one to use them especially when he could smell that there was real fruit in them.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, I would choose these products. They appeal to the children and adults. The organic ingredients are a plus and they contain no nasty extras that parents don't want to put on their children's skin. The fact that you only need this range for all your child's hygiene and skincare needs is brilliant.

What changes would you make to this product?

Branching out into an adults range, face moisturiser, hair mask, that sort of thing. The products are so good I have been using them too and I love them. An adults range could contain supersize bottles of the shampoo and conditioner as these make your hair super soft and can be used by the whole family.

Tested by mum Jackie Bitton for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I highly recommend this range of Child's Farm products, they are absolutely amazing! They're suitable from newborn and contain no harmful ingredients, they're completely natural. My son has a bit of dry skin on his upper arms and this is suitable for eczema prone skin. After using the body lotion, both my children's skin was super smooth and so silky. The great smell is an added bonus and they really do smell delightful.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

This really does make my life easier as you do hear of products containing nasty ingredients, knowing these are completely safe make our bath times more fun.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

The only thing I would change is for the price to be lower. The range is amazing as I said but I couldn't afford to buy these products regularly even though I really would like to.

Tested by mum Rachel Robinson Tingle for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I would recommend this product to a friend. I have tried a few of the Childs Farm products and I'm happy with them. The bottles are easy to open. Love the design on them all. Really like how they are all organic and 98% natural ingredients. The bottles are not too big to use /carry when out and about. They are very fresh smelling and never caused any irritation on my son’s skin.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

I would say I like how the bottles are designed - no faffy bottle tops’ lids to get into the product to use them.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

There’s nothing really I’d change about this products, it ticked all the right boxes for me and I’m more than happy with them.

Tested by mum Elizabeth Emmanuel for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

Childs Farm products are wonderfully scented with natural essential oils. We really liked the bubble bath scented with organic raspberry extract.  The best part of using these products is that they are so gentle on my baby's very sensitive skin.  I'm always concerned about what exactly is in baby bath products, and was relieved to read that the list of ingredients contained nothing harmful.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

The packaging on the bottles inspired me to make up lots of stories while bathing my little ones.  Knowing that the products are made in Britain to the highest standards is also a bonus.

Tested by mum Natalie Turnball for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

Child Farm products are so gentle to use on my baby's very sensitive skin.  The fragrances are not overpowering, but very soothing.  I was pleased that there were no known nasties in these.  I particularly liked using these bath time products at the end of the day as I noticed my little one seemed to drift off to sleep easier.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

I was happy that the products were produced in Britain to very high standards and that they were very gentle and soothing.  The packaging helped me to make up stories without the need of getting out a story book.

Tested by mum Sally Dudley for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

Yes, definitely. The products are very attractive and smell lovely. You only need a tiny amount to get lots of bubbles (be it bubble bath or shampoo) so last for ages. My son has sensitive skin and these products didn't irritate at all. I was surprised at the price - cheaper than I expected for large bottles. With the quality as well it makes them great value for money. Loved them.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

Didn't irritate my son's skin so I could use the same product for all children in the bath. Plus it smelt good and left all their skin feeling soft so a great range of products.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

The lids. These flip lids are great for easy one handed use but not so good for travelling. I dropped the bag containing the bath products on the stairs and one of the lids popped open resulting in leakage. I wouldn't trust them to remain sealed.

Tested by mum Sarah Baker for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

We LOVED this range. They had such fun designs, easy to open (even one handed) containers and such amazing scents to them all. All the items felt luxurious and creamy and felt lovely when using them. The shampoo went down particularly well with my little girl who danced around afterwards proclaiming her hair smelt of sweeties and princesses.  The bubble bath created a great lather that lasted the whole bath time. I also loved the fact that the wash was suitable for hair as well as body, which made for a quicker bath time when needed.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

Having the endorsement on the front of the bottle that they were proven to not irritate eczema prone skin was a huge relief. Also finding a product that felt luxuriously creamy and soft on the skin, while still natural plant based and hypoallergenic is hard. Even better when you factor in the amazingly fruity clean scents.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

There is very little I would change about there, the only thing would be the cost. The bottles are of a descent size, but even when taking this into consideration they are still extremely expensive to be used regularly.

Tested by mum Becky Carr for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I would highly recommend these products to other mums. I love the unique packaging. The scents are really fresh and vibrant and I really like that the products contain organic ingredients. My toddler loved the smell of these products and they also left my 6 month old smelling clean and fresh. I appreciated that the mild formulas were suitable for eczema-prone skin. My baby and toddler both had really soft and moisturised feeling skin after using the bubble bath in particular.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

It's great to have products that work well but that are also gentle and moisturising to my toddler's eczema-prone skin.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

I cannot think of anything I would change. I will definitely be buying these products again.

Tested by mum Leah Nicole Rabbett for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

Over the years with your little ones you soon work out what works best for you. After going through so many brands and products in the past I think I have found a brand I love every product in. Smells amazing, works amazing, kind on the skin and love the packaging!

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

Product packaging stands out certainly, very fun and eye catching! Loved every product, smells lovely and we have had many of fun bath times with the products. The shampoo did not upset toddler and we found no rashes or sensitivity to the products, very lovely to the skin.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Nothing! Absolutely loved everything!
