At a glance:

If you’re looking for an unscented wipe, these went down well with our panel of mum testers, who liked the texture of the wipes and the pretty packaging. That said, the wipes occasionally get stuck together, making removing them mid-change tricky.

What they say:

“Our ultra-soft baby wipes have been improved to provide even more effective gentle cleansing. They now feel softer, stronger and thicker and still contain cleansing milk with extracts of aloe and chamomile, helping to protect and soothe your baby's skin to help prevent nappy rash. Plus they're dermatologically tested and suitable for eczema prone skin. Because Tesco Loves Baby.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The main reason that I would recommend these wipes is due to the thickness and durability of the wipe – I feel they are up to any task. They are also not too wet, making clean ups easy with no excess moisture left behind. The pack is easy to transport, with a clip down lid so the wipes do not dry out quickly.

How did this product make your life easier?

These wipes are brilliant, they are thick and strong giving you no fear that they might rip during a nappy change. The bright colourful packaging also helped to keep my daughter entertained during a nappy change. Unlike other brands, only one wipe came out the pack at a time so no wipes ended up being wasted or dried out.

For me the thickness and durability is the reason I would choose this product. I have used more expensive wipes previously and they were nowhere near the quality of these wipes. I also love the bright colourful packaging which keeps my daughter occupied during changes. I am actually going to change from my normal brand of wipes to these.

What changes would you make to this product?

As a product there is nothing I would change about these wipes, they are amazing and a lot better than expensive wipes or wipes from a leading brand. I have never bought these wipes before so unsure if they already do, but it would be good if they came in multi pack boxes seeing as Tesco isn't a place I normally shop.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I already have and I will, it is nice on skin and a great price compared to some of the others on the market. I often recommend these baby wipes to other people and have begun to trust Tesco’s products over others on the market.

How did this product make your life easier?

They are easy to use and easy to get out the packet, leaving my little boy’s skin clean and never irritated. The wipes are soft and easy to carry around in his bag although maybe a mini pack for bags might be good. As a mother, baby bags get full easy so would be handy to have a smaller pack for bags

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes I would, I think they should win because they are so easy to use, quick to get out the packet and perfect for use. They are great value for money. However I think they could stand out more, maybe design better packaging to make it different from others. For example having a character on the package. This however has no bearing on the quality of the product which is excellent.

What changes would you make to this product?

I wouldn’t improve very much as this product is fantastic, if I had to pick anything, it would be to make packaging more colourful and appeal to more members of the public. I'd also like to see a mini pack which would be better in baby bags.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I'm not 100% sure they'd be the first brand I'd recommend to a friend. The wipes are gentle on my daughter’s skin and they were perfect for after meal time and amazing value for money. But, the packet really frustrated me and for that alone I don't think I'd recommend them as first choice.

How did this product make your life easier?

In terms of the wipes themselves, I was in heaven. Adorable packaging, surprisingly affordable and great quality strong wipes! They came out of the packet easily although not individually. They were perfect on my children's sensitive skin. They didn't rip like some baby wipes do. And the colour of the packs made them easy to spot in a rush.

These baby wipes are on a par with many other brands out there. The design on the packaging is much nicer than many and I would pick these wipes for the cute little hearts. Also the wipes themselves are great! There is no fragrance so no concern about my baby's skin but they were very soapy and wet. Which made an explosive nappy a little trickier to clean up but perfect for everyday use like average nappies, cleaning dirty faces and fingers after meal times.

What changes would you make to this product?

The lid on the packet – when I first opened them, I happened to be dealing with a poop explosion. I only had one hand and it wasn't that easy to open the packet and then pulled out half a packet of wipes with one pull. That was a little frustrating!

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend these wipes to other parents, as I think they feel nice and are a good mixture between being damp but not too wet that they drip. I would say they are a little on the thin side, but all in all if you’re on a cheaper budget they are worth it.

How did this product make your life easier?

These are great for when you’re out and about, I have used them to wipe baby's bottom, after feeding baby, as that can be a very messy job, and to freshen up my older daughter on the go.

Would you choose this product to win?

If my budget was less I would definitely use Tesco Loves Baby wipes, but I must admit my husband and I do preferably like to use thicker wipes.

What changes would you make to this product?

The quality of the wipe is not too bad, the smell of the wipes is ok, but the thickness of the wipes is lacking and I'd be worried I'd stick my finger through, while changing my son’s dirty nappies.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The product is reasonably priced for a good quality product. The main thing I loved about the wipes was that they were not too strong smelling like many similar products on the market. The wipes were also not too wet, yet sufficient to clear up any nappy incidents. They were also great on my baby’s sensitive bottom. The packaging of the wipes is also a lot more appealing than other products.

How did this product make your life easier?

It is an essential part of everyday life with a baby and the Tesco Loves Baby Wipes were easy to use, with an easy opening to access the wipes. The wipes themselves were lovely, not too wet and not too strong smelling. They worked great, clearing up all nappy disasters with ease. The product fits easily into a changing bag without being too bulky.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would still use my current brand as I do not have a Tesco near to me, but would happily change to this brand if I regularly shopped at Tesco. The main reason for this is that the quality of the product is great for the price. The product is packaged nicely and looks more expensive than it is.

What changes would you make to this product?

There is nothing about the product that I would actually change. The only issue I would have is that, as an own brand, it is only sold in Tesco. Overall, I would change to this product from my regular brand if I shopped regularly at Tesco.
