The scent is very pleasant and left baby smelling clean and fresh after a nappy change. They're not too wet, so we didn't feel we had to use powder or a towel to dry baby after a change. They still cleaned her skin very effectively. You can reseal the pop-up lid, which is great. But the texture of the wipes isn't as soft as others, so they might irritate sensitive skin.

Tested by mum Ruth Bamforth for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I love these wipes and use them all the time. The packaging is easy to use and long lasting. They smell lovely. They are not too wet but not dry and the wipes hold together well. They are a good price. They seem gentle enough on my baby's skin and I even use them on my face as the smell so fresh and clean.

How did this product make your life easier?

They are easy and quick to get out of the packet one at a time as some wipes come out all at once. They hold together even with the tough poos. Some wipes fall apart but these never do and they are a great price compared to some of the branded wipes and better quality. Being able to buy them during my weekly shop is good too.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose these wipes for packaging - I love the hard lid as sometimes the stickers come off (or get pulled off) and the wipes go dry. I love the smell, some wipes are too perfumed but these smell fresh and clean. I even use them on my face too. I think they are good value for money too as you get a lot for the price.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would like to see a warning wipe that was maybe a different colour from the rest so you can tell when you are near the end of the wipes as sometimes you get caught out and run out of wipes unexpectedly mid poo! Other than that they are perfect and wouldn't change anything else. I love these wipes.

Tested by mum Kasia Mallett for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I'd recommend these wipes because they are excellent value for money and are cheaper than other branded wipes but are still soft, strong and effective. They also have a handy resealable lid which is helpful as it stops them from drying out and makes getting single wipes out with one hand much easier.

How did this product make your life easier?

The main aspect which makes life easier is the resealable lid. It allows me to access the wipes using one hand while changing nappies and seems well designed and made. I also liked the fact the the wipes were very strong and I ended up using less wipes each time I changed one of my children's nappies.

Would you choose this product to win?

These wipes are very comparable to the branded ones I usually buy. They are soft, strong and have a very practical and easy to use resealable lid. I prefer non fragranced, water based wipes so that I can use them for multiple purposes such as nappy changing, face wiping, hand cleaning etc without leaving any residue or after taste.

What changes would you make to this product?

Although I really like the smell of these fragranced wipes, I usually buy non fragranced ones because I use them for nappy changes, wiping hands, faces etc and find that the cleansing milk or fragrance can leave an unpleasant 'taste' on hands or faces. If these are available without the fragrance I'd certainly buy some again.

Tested by mum Anna Smith for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

These wipes combine value for money with quality. The rigid lid helps avoid moisture loss that can often occur with packets that only have a peel back opening, meaning the cleaning ability lasts to the very last wipe. The fragrance smells fresh and natural, unlike some wipes that can smell heavily perfumed. The were gentle on my children's skin, leaving no obvious signs of irritation. I used them for cleaning bottoms, and mucky faces and hands and was very impressed with the performance.

How did this product make your life easier?

The rigid flip lid makes one handed opening a breeze - a must for a parent of a wriggly toddler. The wipes can be removed from the pack with great ease and they also separate without a problem, which is a massive bonus. All to often you pull at a wipe only want the one and you end up with another 2 or 3 attached and end up wasting those wipes, because it's easier to use them all together rather than try to separate the whilst in a mucky situation.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes! Mainly because the moisture remains within each and every wipe due to the rigid plastic opening, which can be opened with one hand. The wipes clean away the mess from the muckiest of bottoms without having to go over the same area over and over again. This obviously reduces the risk of causing irritation to sensitive bottoms.

What changes would you make to this product?

When trying to open the packet one handed, I struggled to open the plastic opening with my thumb. This wasn't a big issue, because I simply turned the packet around and used my fingers instead, but I am used to the previous design of these packets and so it is habit to open with my thumb. But this is todo with the packet design rather than the wipes themselves.

Tested by mum Delyth Jones for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

It has got a great lid that closes properly. Not like some wipes that just have a sticky piece on top. Great for changing baby bums and for hands, wiping down toys and high chairs etc. Also lovely smelling! I struggle to find good wipes as my youngest daughter suffers with allergic reactions and often wipes leave her red after a nappy change, sometimes even her face will be red after wiping her after food with another brand. However, these were great and didn't give her any bad side effects.

How did this product make your life easier?

They were handy to pull out quickly when needed lots of wipes for some nappy emergencies! They were ideal not being too wet like some wipes so cleaned up great. Also the lid that closed them properly so they don't dry out when not being used. Good amount in the pack and seem to last longer than other brands.

Would you choose this product to win?

This product is great and I would transfer to this product from now on. They are gentle on baby bottoms whilst wiping everything up, great consistancy, great amount and actually brilliant value for money. Good size to pop in a baby bag and a proper closing lid! Overall really impressed with these wipes and will continue to use them from now on.

What changes would you make to this product?

A very small detail but as you pull one wipe out, often the next wipe would come with it attached. However, this is a small detail as this happens with most wipes that I have used. It doesn't happen every time but sometimes can be wasteful if several wipes are coming out at the same time, this would be the only thing that I would improve but this may lead to a different consistancy which is actually perfect for baby wipes.

Tested by mum Sarah Backshall for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I have been really surprised how great these wipes are! They are strong, have a really good level of moisture and a lovely soft creamy texture. The fragrance is pleasant and they are great value for money. Coming from an atopic family the key thing that I have liked about them, upon reading the packet is that they contain extracts of aloe and chamomile to help prevent nappy rash and are suitable for eczema prone skin something you wouldn't normally expect at this price level.

How did this product make your life easier?

The wipes come in a well designed package with a hard plastic lid that clasps shut to keep the wipes clean, and to keep in the moisture (there's nothing more annoying than finding dry wipes in your change bag!). The wipes themselves are a good hand size and nice and thick making them more effective to use.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, I would choose it to win for value for money and package design. If I didn't know they were a supermarket brand, I would have expected them to be one of the big brands due to the size and exceptional quality. I usually avoid supermarket own brand wipes, but these will definitely be on my shopping list now!

Tested by mum Charmaine Reichmann for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely reccommend this product to a fellow mum. The packaging is fab as it keeps the wipes moist between uses. They can easily be thrown inside your changing bag without the worry of them leaking everywhere and soaking everything else that is in it. My little girl seems to be happy whilst i'm using them which is fab as she suffers with sore bums because of her eczema.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes my life easier because they are lovely and soft and gentle on my daughter's skin. It makes bum change time less of a struggle as she is no longer wiggling with pain every time she needs to be changed. I'm finding that I no longer need to worry whether the wipes will make her bum sore due to how soft they are.

Would you choose this product to win?

They are ideal for a baby or child of any age to use for anything. The softness is perfect for those whose children suffer from sore bums/ eczema. The fragrance is an added bonus. Nappy changes are a much happier time in our house now.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I was to change one thing about this product I think it would be to make the packet slimmer to fit easier into a changing bag. The current packets are rather bulky so if you are using a small bag it takes up a fair amount of room. Whether it be to makes the packets longer or maybe smaller 'on the go' packets.

Tested by mum Emma Lander for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I never usually buy fragranced wipes and I was surprised by the pleasant scent which was not too overpowering. The packaging was bright and not too bulky for changing bags. They are great value for money and are cheaper the more packs you buy. While I am not sure I will change to fragranced wipes full time, I am not as against them as I was.

How did this product make your life easier?

The main thing for me was the ease of getting the wipes out of the packet. Sometimes it really annoys me when you can't open them quickly enough the first time you use them. This was not the case here. They were really easy to open. They also came out individually rather than in a big clump which is also a bugbear of mine.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would apart from the fragrance. It is clean and fresh looking, makes it easier to get the wipes out-more than the leading brand. I will definitely make Tesco my first choice of baby wipe in the future.

What changes would you make to this product?

I do wonder why anyone would actively choose a fragranced baby wipe over a non-fragranced variety so if there was one thing I would change, it would be that. The fragrance seemed a little harsh for a baby-even though the actual fragrance was not unattractive. The packaging is compact and attractive and the plastic dispenser was a brilliant feature.

Tested by mum Sophie Greenaway for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would reccomend these wipes to a friend or fellow mum. I like the packaging with the clip top lid which helps to keep the wipes wet and fresh for future use. They were good quality wipes and easy to use. They're easy to keep in your baby bag and pull out when needed. They're also very good value for money.

How did this product make your life easier?

They make my life easier as a mum as they are quiet wet so don't struggle to wipe of the mess from my toddler's hands and face and also good to use on the baby's bottom. The clip top lid feature is very handy as I've had wipes before without this and the top few wipes go dry and then are unable to be used.

Would you choose this product to win?

My favourite wipes to use are a different brand but I would buy these if we were in tesco and needed wipes and they aren't unusable. They get the job done which is what anyone wants when buying a product. I like my other brand of wipes as the wipe feels better. These wipes felt like they could rip when taking out of the packaging at times.

What changes would you make to this product?

I don't like fragranced wipes and this is one thing that puts me off these wipes. All the features of the wipes and design of the packaging is pretty much everything you would want in a packet of wipes. They're moist and easy to store in drawers, baby bag, changing unit. The close lid is a definite bonus for these wipes.

Tested by mum Anna Farish for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this product because of the fragrance which is fresh yet not overpowering. These wipes are a really good quality, they are strong enough to withstand being chewed by a toddler and don't fall apart. The pack is very easy to use, the lid opens and snaps shut easily ensuring that they don't dry out.

How did this product make your life easier?

I found that only one wipe at a time came out of the packet, this was great as you weren't fumbling to get more, or stop all of them coming out while in the middle of changing baby. I found you needed less wipes as they are large and strong enough to do a whole face, rather than having to use a number of wipes.

Would you choose this product to win?

I like this product, due to the ease of use with the packaging and the fragrance. I don't usually go for fragranced wipes but these don't smell artificial, it's a pleasant not overpowering fragrance that doesn't hang around too long. I found them great for hands, faces and bums and even used them to take my own make up off.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I had to change something about the product I would make a smaller packet for mums on the run, or the emergency stash in the car and a huge pack for next to the changing unit. This is because with two small children using them all the time the pack didn't last very long. Apart from that I wouldn't change a thing.

Tesco baby wipes are great value for money. The price is great and the wipes even better. They can be used for changing nappy, cleaning at meal times, wiping baby's hands and even to remove your make up! The packaging is very functional as you can easily open and close them which prevents the wipes from drying up.

How did this product make your life easier?

You can use it for everything - nappy changes, cleaning after meal times, wiping dirty hands - yours and baby's. They are lovely and soft and are nicely moist - not too wet yet moist enough to clear even toughest dirt and worst nappy. The are dermatologically tested and can be used on sensitive, eczema prone skin.

Would you choose this product to win?

I love how moist those wet wipes are. They just feel like the moisturise baby's skin as they clean it. They packaging is very functional and presents the wipes from drying out. They do not stick and are easy to take out of the packaging.

What changes would you make to this product?

It is hard to say what I would change about them as they have great price, great packaging and in general they are fantastic wipes. It would be great if I could buy a multipack - for example 10 packs box to save even more money. I am not sure if they also come a toddler wipes but they would be fantastic if they did.
