Would you recommend this to other mums?

Charlie: I would recommend this product to other parents as I believe it is full of goodness for your child. It is a good sized portion for a meal. The design is colourful and the information is clear with regards to what the product is and what it has inside. It doesn't have to be kept refrigerated which is really handy when transporting this around.

Libbi: I would recommend this product as it is super easy to use, there is no messing about with jars of food, it is very easy to open, they are cheap, the food is organic and you can see exactly what is inside the pouches. My baby loves the different vegetables so you cannot complain.

Rebecca: I would recommend this product to other mums. It has 100% natural organic ingredients which I love! It is very healthy for little bellies making sure our babies taste lots of different flavours from the fruit and veg. It is also part of their five-a-day. The food is easy for on-the-go and it takes up very little room in my changing bag!

How did this product make your life easier?

Anarosa: This product makes life easier because it is very quick and easy to use. You can feed your baby without any preparation. We easily feed this pouch to my daughter while out for the day when we cannot prepare food in a kitchen. It is a great product for travelling, day trips or busy days. The pouch was the right consistency and thickness. I am happy that it's organic and free from any nastiness.

Nicola: A purée pouch is a quick, simple and easy option for feeding my baby. We are doing primarily baby led weaning but when we don’t have time, energy or brain space for cooking I’ve been reaching for a purée pouch to get a meal out so much faster. They’re also fantastic for quick meals on-the-go. You can put it in the change bag and I know there’s something for your baby to eat no matter where we are.

Tao: As a busy mum of three, I don't always get the chance to make my own homemade food, as much as I would like to. It is so easy to pick up one of these wonderful pouches for a fast meal, especially when out and about. Age appropriate meals mean there is no guesswork as to what is suitable for my baby when in a hurry.

Would you choose this product to win?

Nancy: I think Ella's Kitchen Carrots, Peas + Kale pouches are great to introduce purees to little ones. The flavour combination is a good idea and had a good flavour for one of the babies first tastes. I think it's quite a large portion size for its age range. You can keep it in the fridge and reuse within 24 hours, however, the stage we're at with weaning means we would probably still have some waste. I think this is a contender for the win as it is a good flavour combination and it takes the stress out of weaning by having it ready prepped.

Charlie: I believe this product is really good and very easy to use. However, there are other products that have a similar taste and goodness factor. I think the price is a little bit too high when compared to other equally good supermarket brand products.

Caroline: There are a lot of pouches on the market which all claim to be organic or gluten-free. However, Ella’s Kitchen are the pioneers in this area. Their packaging is also more appealing and the packaging clearly states what stage of the weaning process the food is appropriate for. The packaging also explains that the pouch can be stored in the fridge for 24 hours once opened, which is perfect for babies who don’t finish a whole one. With this new and healthy flavour combination, they are deserved winners of the category.

What changes would you make to this product?

Charlie: I think the price could be slightly more competitively priced, although I do notice that there are often offers on this product. Although this is a long shot, a throwaway baby spoon attached would be amazing. This would allow parents who may have forgotten food, or been out longer than expected to grab a pouch and have a spoon readily available.

Libbi: I wouldn't change anything about this product as I believe it is fairly priced, it is a fun and colourful design, it is loved by my baby (and me!) and they're very convenient for when you are on-the-go. They are an all-around great brand. I love Ella's kitchen and I think it should win.

Rebecca: The only thing I would change about this product is the nozzle. I personally would prefer a simple spoon-shaped end you can squeeze the food straight onto meaning you wouldn't have to worry about bringing your own. Sometimes walking around the supermarket my daughter wants to eat and I often forget my spoon. I think a spoon end or even a screw on spoon attachment would be a brilliant idea.
