Little Angels Tray Meals 10 Months+ at a glance:

Little Angels' tray meals are made with only organic ingredients, and is one of your little ones' 5 a day per pack. They are also perfectly textured with bigger bites to help little ones learn to chew, and now include some new and exciting flavours!

How did this product make your life easier?

Emma: These meals are really quick and easy to use, microwaves in a minute and there is a good range of meals, at under £1 each. My little one loved the BBQ pulled pork option, great range of meat, vegetables and rice. Fab when in a rush and do not have time to cook a meal from scratch. She wasn’t so keen on the mac and cheese option, this was quite a thick sauce and she didn’t seem to like the taste. The green veg salmon was also a good mix but being bright green the colour was a bit off putting. Baby ate some of this also.

Helen: It is a quick and convenient meal choice, particularly helpful when on the go or for the times when you have been caught short and haven't had enough time to make a fresh meal. It is handy to have one of these in the changing/ babies bag when out and ablut so if we are somewhere and there is not an appropriate choice of meal for her then I know I have a quick alternative available.

Mary: The products were incredibly convenient as there was no preparation involved, merely 30 seconds in the microwave and you have a full, nutritious meal. No need to worry about reduced quality as the ingredients used are of a high standard. Have not come across anything as convenient and of such good quality within that price range. Perfect for when you need something quickly/short on time

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Mary: Would recommend this to friends/fellow mothers first and foremost due to convenience - only 30 seconds in the microwave. The packaging was good quality - very colourful, eye catching and easy to open. Great quality products, nutritious and flavoursome - thoroughly enjoyed by my fussy 1 year old! Very convenient for going away - lightweight, not heavy like jars and good value for money.

Shannon: I would recommend this product to other mums I know, due to the convenience of the product. It’s nice to know that you have something in the cupboard that is quick and easy to prepare, but is also a healthy and filling meal for you little one. Also the price point of a huge bonus, I think a lot of mums will appreciate the low price.

Emma: I would recommend these for quick meals when there is a shortage of time or out for the day and need a meal to hand. At the price of under a £1 it really is a good option. The texture is good for a 10 month old plus as helps them to learn how to chew bigger meat and vegtables. Great range of options - my little one definitely favoured the bbq pork and the spaghetti bol.

Would you choose this product to win?

Shannon: I would choose this product over similar ones on the market. We have always liked Asda for their baby meals and snacks, as they have a huge range of healthy and convenient foods. These meals are definitely something I would buy again, they are the perfect portion size for my little ones appetite and are so easy to prepare.

Helen: My baby didn't seem to enjoy these meals as much as some others she has tried from other brands. Although the products we tested where from the right age catergory, she was already eating the same meals as the rest of the family and would be gesturing for the food on her siblings plates when I was offering her these meals. The meals did offer a good variety of flavours and some of them where things I wouldn't ordinarily make at home so it gave her opportunity to try different things which is very positive.

What changes would you make to this product?

Helen: If I could change one thing about this product it would probably be the textures, I think that they where too soft or blended, especially when compared with things my daughter would be eating normally when I prepared her meals at home. Although I appreciate that this is a very individual thing and the age categories on the products are only there as a guide.

Emma: I would probably have a few more options available to compete with other brands as we found there was about 6/7 different options. I think they would sell really well as the products we did try went down well. I would also be good if they introduced some dessert options as well to open up their product range.

Shannon: If I could add something to this product it would be in terms of packaging. I would like to see a plastic lid on the tub, rather than just a plastic film. Then that way, if you don’t want to heat up the entire thing like us, you can take some out, and then pop the lid back on the left over and put it in the fridge.
