Playful pre-schoolers are in for a treat this summer with the opening of the CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort, and presenter and TV personality Denise Van Outen has given us a sneak peek…

Postman Pat, Mike The Knight and Iggle Piggle await fun-loving families at the new five-acre attraction designed for tots from three to five years and visitors can expect a host of safe play areas bringing CBeebies to life.

Youngsters will have to hold off their excitement until May 24th when CBeebies Land officially opens, but curious tots and their parents can have a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of the site with a series of videos hosted on Alton Towers Resort’s YouTube channel.

As a mum herself to daughter Betsy, four, Denise is the perfect guide to lead parents virtually through the park - which will include rides, immersive play areas, live experiences and appearances from some of the most well-known characters on CBeebies - asking all the questions that mums and dads really want to know, as well as investigating how children learn through play.

The Essex TV star will be shining a light on all the features CBeebies Land has to offer, whether using shape recognition skills to help Postman Pat sort the mail, learning about the five senses with Nina and the Neurons or learning about plants and herbs in Mr Bloom’s Allotment.

Denise says, ‘This series is all about trading Essex glamour for a construction site. I watch CBeebies with my daughter Betsy all the time and now she will get to meet some of her favourite characters in person when the attraction opens in May.

‘More than that though, it’s a great chance for her to learn as well; I’ve seen an amazing mix of practical education and laugh-out-loud entertainment. I think the CBeebies Land team has literally thought of everything, but best of all, I got to see it first!’

The three-part web series will be available from 15 Apr, which you can see at: www.youtube.com/officialaltontowers.
